Unusually for TTRPGs, I heard about this one from a Facebook post of a contact fangirling over the concept.
Has there yet been any evidence revealed that this is any more helpful to the purpose of story generation than Munchhausen, death by asphyxiation, or Apocalypse World?

Well, as I understand it, it's not a TTRPG, it's a browser based storygame engine. Think Story Nexus or Cryptic.
I do know that Ursula Vernon's stretch goal for the kickstarter has been achieved, so one of the story games in the complete launch (it's currently in beta, I believe) will be her weird vegetables setting.

Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.

A friend backed this and invited me to a game, which means I have access to all of their rules and settings and stuff. If anyone has any questions about it I can see about digging up an answer.

Are stories able to be read publically?

They're marked public or private, but you can't see them from the outside at all. I also can't search for them. I think you're supposed to be able to read them publicly though, just not sure if it's a member restricted thing or a not enabled thing. I might grab my friend's account and see if he can search or not.codeGlaze wrote:Are stories able to be read publically?
[Edit] Found the game browse section, you just have to be logged in and know where to look. So yes, stories are publicly readable... so long as you have access.
I have no idea what Insider is, and my google-fu has failed me. So I can't answer that part at all.Dogbert wrote:So it's basically Roll20 and Insider rolled up in one, functionality-wise?
As for the Roll20 part, not really. There's no minis or battlegrid or anything, characters are piles of cards and a brief writeup. It's more like Once Upon a Time than a crunchy ttrpg.
