hey dumbass phpbb 2.0.18 was released freely, and i have nearly ALL the hacks for phpbb2 and ALL its updates. i dont need to see a single viewforum.php file for TGD to create the needed bits of code to create an "ignore thread' feature, nor do i need access to the database in order to tell Z which table needs a field and what type in order to add the thread ignores.

i created and gave Steve anti-pornbot code for Dragonsfoot, but Sol was to much of cock sucker, and Steve was too afraid to change the code to add the 20 lines in order to increase protection from the porn-bots.

so dont be as retarded as Sol or Dragonsreach (from CMoN), thinking you know everything about everyone or programming/computers.

i have much higher developed phpBB2 scripts than could even run on TGD, like the ones i helped develop for GaiaOnline which began as and still has phpBB2 as its framework, but HEAVILY edited.

now have your wet-nurse put you down for your nap damn punk-ass kid.

Is there a way to make it so that when you have someone on ignore and they are the only new reply in a thread, it doesn't make the thread change to orange from white? Obviously shadzar isn't going to go away, but I'd like to have orange mean that someone wrote something instead of "shadzar wordvomited on five threads in a row."

Since uber got the ball rolling, I request a favicon!

I humbly submit my idea (again):

TGD02_preview
And again, this is the .ico file of that image.

That's hilarious, but more cocks in the barrel might be appropriate.

ico images are small. Additional cocks wouldn't be recognizable at standard size, as seen in your browser tab. The other sizes are for different browsers and such that display pictures for your favorite links in the start page, etc.

(I can't fucking figure out flickr's new sharing thing. Blah.)

Image resizing would be a great thing to add to the forum by default.

I browsed that post quickly, so I don't know if it's the solution for this forum version ... but it would still be pretty tits to have.

I'd like to be able to bookmark/save/favorite specific posts for future reference without making a bajillity browser bookmarks. I've seen such plugins for phpbb, but I'm not sure if this version of the board software is compatible...

On that note, is there any special reason that the site can't be upgraded to the latest version of phpbb3? I own my own phpbb message board and did the conversion myself a few years ago and didn't experience any issues porting the database, but I didn't have any extra plugins or custom code at the time...

Biggest reason we haven't upgraded to v3? I'm scared to death of breaking something.

Second biggest reason? I lack enough time to create a "test" version of the site, run the upgrade there, see what breaks, and figure out how to fix it.

It is getting to the point, though, where I'm going to need to do this.

[The Great Fence Builder Speaks]

Your help is appreciated, Zherog. While we are interested in V3, we also want our collective brilliance to retain its immortality. Please take your time.

For those that don't know, Zherog IS our IT Department, and he does so on a volunteer basis. I used to see him at GENCON every year and buy him a pint or two as payment, but its been a few years since regular GENCON attendance was economically viable for me.

All this to say that Z's always been really cool about helping out with the Tech side of things, but if it takes him a bit to respond I'm happy to be patient. Not to say that anyone was pressuring or harping on the issue, but I just wanted to remind everyone of our business model (such as it is).

Is there a PayPal we can donate to? I might not be able to buy you a beer in person, but at least I can send you something for the beer fund.

Hi. So, would it be possible to add a thing to the ignore user feature where it asks you first if you really want to ignore a user?

I only have a tiny Kindle tablet that hates me and wants me to always press the wrong things because of it's wretched evil tinyness. I've accidentally ignored Frank like five times just trying to go to the next page of a thread, and the link that appears afterward to take you to the ignored user list is so fucking small, I can never hit it.

I don’t post here much, but I get a lot from this site and would be glad to pitch in if a paypal or similar became available. This place keeps me sane at times and I really appreciate it.

Edit: just realized this post is like 3 years old. Doh, so is there a place I can contribute to the den?
