Yeah but the thing is for a Wizard, specifically (not say, a Sorcerer) which is the class mentioned in the thread name, you have to both know that SR-bypassing spell and have it prepared when you run into the Golem, which is an iffy proposition at best unless you have been a smart little wizard and somehow used your divination spells to discern the golem's presence and intentions toward you at least a day in advance.
Also, sometimes the mission objective might be to actually destroy the golem and not bypass it. In which case none of those ideas, clever as they are, really work.
Like in a scenario where a golem has been sent by your enemies to kill you specifically and is not effectively dungeon furniture, you're unlikely to have anti-golem spells handily prepared. And you have to hope you have Invisibility Sphere or something prepared and can get it off on your whole party before the Golem starts murdering the shit out of you. Or if not just cast Invisibility on yourself and let the party sort out their own shit, if you're most Wizards I've played .
For a minute, I used to be "a guy" in the TTRPG "industry". Now I'm just a nobody. For the most part, it's a relief.

At 7th level, what spells would you have prepared in your 1st level spell slots to not have Grease? (Assuming you have combat spells prepared, because if you don't have combat spells prepared, you're about as weak to any other monster)
Golems are closet trolls with low hit points and some immunities. But especially the magic immunity feature is a joke because -- as we all know -- SR is a joke because the school of magic with the game's best spells for almost all relevant levels of play doesn't give a single fuck about SR. A competent level five wizard casts Grease (repeatedly) and/or Web and lays a Haboob on top of it which kills a CR 13 iron golem without losing a single hit point.
What would be a good monster to pair with a Golem then? Something that is immune to the things that take out Golems so the wizard's resources get strained.
Or an invisible creature able to direct the golem how to behave effectively. Like an Imp or Quasit. Bonus difficulty for something with dispel magic/blindsight/see invisibility.
Or pair a golem with traps! It may be stationary and begin patrolling once a shrieker or other alarm trap goes off.
So have golem patrolling a room full of retriggering magic traps on pressure plates. As it makes its rounds it walks over stuff like Dispel Magic, Faerie Fire... anti-wizard method countermeasures that won't hinder the golem.
Note: pairing with a Mordikainen's Disjunction Trap is just mean, and certainly meaner to non-casters than casters.
