There's probably a better way to do it, but if you modify the last number in the URL (the post number at which to start), it will bring up a specific thread, but you still get all of the others beneath it. Basically, each page shows 25 by default, but in order to modify it by hand, you have to do some counting.
Your last post as an example:

BTW, if there's a better way, I'd love to know, too!

I request a version of Pun-Pun your DM wouldn't stab you for trying to play.
I had a signature here once but I've since lost it.

Alternate Loremaster: For Prerequisites, replace Skill Focus (Knowledge) with Detective. The Detective feat is a better representation of the scholarly type of character.
So, here's Raistlin! There's no point stating him out at the height of his power, when he's a god who's destroyed all life on Krynn. This stat block represents his climb to power during the Legends Trilogy, when he gets powerful enough to take on Takhisis in the Abyss.
Remember, all of Raistlin's damage spells are uncapped, doing 20 die of damage per level!
Mordenkainen, Elminster, Raistlin, I just Tome-ified the Wizard's Three!

Have anyone in mind, or should I just pick what I feel like?Midnight_v wrote:Baldur's gate console classic.
Is there a 3rd Edition Open Game statblock (or outline of his powers) for Ygorl? I specialize in classes.Aryxbez wrote:Oh! Ygorl The Slaad Lord of Entropy, never could decide conceptually how he should be done really. I think the video game "Demon Stone" just had him out as a humanoid-ish wizard thing. Believe his original source has him out as giant black translucent frogman with a skeletal inside and an awesome scythe (brilliant energy perhaps??).
Also, not sure if this counts as request, but how about D&D Gods (those in Deities & Demigods in general), toned down to levels around 16-20th? Such as St.Cuthbert, Maglubiyet (god of goblins), Garl Glittergold and Tiamat/Bahamaut?
Pardon if any of these requests seem in poor taste, rather curious how you would handle Garl and Ygorl specifically.
Lastly, pending how big this has gotten, I might suggest you link the posts to these in your first post in this thread. So in the future, can avoid any redundant requests (hopefully mine isn't among that number).
I can do a high level Garl Glittergold. Probably make him a Beguiler (PHB II); that class is the best representation of his abilities.

...If only you'd have stopped forever...Dear Midnight, you have actually made me sad. I took a day off of posting yesterday because of actual sadness you made me feel in my heart for you.

My rule of thumb is that a feat that includes the effects of another feat counts as that other feat for meeting prerequisites. Any feat that gives +3 to a knowledge skill should count as Skill Focus for meeting prerequisites.Libertad wrote:Alternate Loremaster: For Prerequisites, replace Skill Focus (Knowledge) with Detective. Are there any Tome feats that give +3 to a Knowledge skill?CatharzGodfoot wrote:My rule of thumb is that a feat that includes the effects of another feat counts as that other feat for meeting prerequisites. The answer appears to be "no", which is a pretty glaring oversight. If I can find any free time I'll get right on it.Libertad wrote:Are there any Tome feats that give +3 to a Knowledge skill?CatharzGodfoot wrote:My rule of thumb is that a feat that includes the effects of another feat counts as that other feat for meeting prerequisites. There's a little sheet icon (icon_minipost.gif) to the left of the post heading (Posted: <date> Post subject: <no one uses it anyway>) which links to a particular post on a page of 25.RobbyPants wrote:There's probably a better way to do it, but if you modify the last number in the URL (the post number at which to start), it will bring up a specific thread, but you still get all of the others beneath it. It's not the same as changing the starting post: a thread link will produce a page with posts 150-174 (something you cannot get by navigating Goto page links), while a post link will produce a page with posts 25*x...25*(x+1) - that is one viewable via Goto page - 126...150 in our example, scrolled to that specific post.
Links to posts are more reliable because they use a forum-wide counter, while thread links will need fixing if posts are deleted from the thread.
Also: the little orange icons that might show up to the left of a post title in a specific forum view link to the last unread post in that thread.
Also x2: links can be used in quote tags. See what I did there.
