A Question for the Tome Monk
Sorry if this is explained somewhere in the Dungeonomicon, but are monks able to enchant their natural slam attacks in some way beyond the Amulet of Mighty Fists? And if not, what is the reasoning?

Not that I'm aware of, apart from the Githzerai Paragon I made...oh...yesterday.Dr_Noface wrote:Sorry if this is explained somewhere in the Dungeonomicon, but are monks able to enchant their natural slam attacks in some way beyond the Amulet of Mighty Fists? And if not, what is the reasoning?
But, the Monk does get to ignore all DR and Hardness as part of a Fighting Style.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

You could tell that by the feat name.Prak_Anima wrote:Someone on here, Koumei, I think, wrote up a feat called Eleven Testicles which would allow it.
yeah, it was koumei.

Beware though, that feat is awful.Prak_Anima wrote:Someone on here, Koumei, I think, wrote up a feat called Eleven Testicles which would allow it.

They don't need it.Dr Noface wrote:In that case, I was thinking of giving the monk something like the Complete Warrior Kensai's magic weapon ability, but for free. Is this stupid?

I would just let "Amulet of Mighty Fists" be a scaling magic item which gives +1/3rd level to all your natural attacks, but:
1) With no compensatory drawback.
2) But it doesn't get a minor ability added to it. (And if it's a medium weapon, it has only a minor ability, ect.)
3) It counts as two item slots.

The BAB 16 benefit of Insightful Strike tends to give monks crazy enhancement bonuses to all of their melee attacks. You can also use a BoG minor magic item like 'hand straps' which give an "enhancement bonus to weapon". The "weapon"? Your slam
