New Blood

Post by Shrieking Banshee »

Im a new member, found this place after searching for any signs that I wasn't crazy over the fact that Privateer Press didn't know what they where doing.

This place seems to share me idea of game design, and Il be happy to chat with yous fellows and share my experiences.

Mmmm, fresh meat.

Actually, nah, hi, welcome. If you're looking for Privateer Press rants, I commend your attention to this: http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?p=171167

The Den is a lightly moderated forum, with FBMF as the admin. He doesn't speak often, so you heed him when he does.

There's a few cultural peculiarities involved here.

First, a lot of the base pulls no punches. Most any sort of swearing is permitted. Creative expression is welcome--and if all else fails, tell that motherfucker to go suck a barrel of cocks. Just don't wish death on someone else.

Second, a lot of the Denizens have been around TTRPG for ages, so they have all this history on it. Check out most any OSSR (Old-School Sourcebook Review) from this thread for an example: http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=53716

Third, we have this guy named silva who spends his time trying to lead up to how Apocalypse World is the best game ever. He's the latest in a long line of boneheads who come here, move in, and don't do much besides their pet interest. Before him it was a D&D 2e fanboy named Shadzar. Before THAT, it was this guy named Elennsar who didn't know what he wanted except that it would be better than anything. Zak Smith also doesn't like us, which is why I've got that black line in my sig--it's chaff for his google alerts about his own name.

He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

A no punches barred free speech a palooza? I wouldn't have it any other way asshole!

You can't have a real discussion when commenting is moderated. All that means is that insults are allowed in a backhanded sort of way.

Half asleep upon my knee
Some freak from a menagerie?
No! It's Eric, the half a bee

I'm sorry Shrap. No one else will say it so I guess I have to be the one to tell you.

We know you like Transformers.

But you're not a bonehead.

Shrap is too a bonehead. I'd know, we boneheads can smell our own.

But he's an entertaining bonehead, unlike the shillva troll.

This is, quite possibly, the nicest thing anyone's ever said about me.

You introduced me to Dungeon Meshi, so your contribution to the TGDMB ecosystem is already immense.

Got me thinking there'd be real new blood, and I can't even report them because someone else did first.

And again, wonder why this thread has gotten 3, out of all the zillions of threads around.
