Yikes, that's a large number of enemies. This is what I want to do for the first 3 rounds:
For Round 1: I will have Gridelin's initial two spells be Sleep (to take out the magical lions) and Faerie Fire. Flametongue will cast Sleep on the Djinn to remove him from the picture. Gridelin will cast Winds.
For Round 2: Flametongue will cast Fireball, while Gridelin will cast Forget.
For Round 3: If the Enlarge spell can double fiery breath damage, than I will have Flametongue cast Enlarge. Otherwise, I will have Flametongue cast Lightning Bolt, while Gridelin will cast Distortion on the Coatl.
Let's see how this goes. I think I'm pretty much dead, though.

Gridelin casts Faerie Fire and Sleep. The lions are out of the fight.
Your group is affected by two contradictory effects: one (Faerie Fire) causes them to auto-hit, the other to auto-miss. They cancel out.
Flametongue casts a spell which misses.
Gridelin casts a Winds spell, which the Black Knight uses an item to negate.
Sistoo hits the couatl for 9 damage.
The Iron Statue hits the couatl for 10 damage.
Raven swings his sword and misses. Phantast beats on a drum, somehow not lighting it on fire, but nothing happens. Scorch casts a Wall of Fire which misses Flametongue, hits Sistoo for 5 damage, and misses the Iron Statue. Euras casts a spell that fails. The Couatl casts a spell that turns three sticks into snakes, each of which has 2 Hit Points, each of which promptly bites someone and hits. (Their poison bite functions like the Couatl's own, so each bite reduces someone to half current health, round up. Whom do they hit?)
You still have your Sleep spell, as it missed. Enlarge will only double the effects of your claws and fangs, making them do 22 damage on hit for the rest of the fight, but not affecting your 18-damage fiery breath. Do you still wish to cast Fireball and then Lightning Bolt?

Re: [Let's Play] Revenge of the Red Dragon: Flametongue
I will have all of the bites target the iron statue, as well as any attacks by the couatl. Until the couatl is dead, or Sistoo is dead and Flametongue is at very low hp, I do not want any other damage to go to the iron statue.
Flametongue will continue to cast Sleep on the djinn until it is out of the picture. After that, Flametongue will cast Fireball, and then Lightning Bolt. Then, Flametongue will use all Fiery Breath attacks.
Gridelin will cast Forget, and then distortion on Scorch. After that, Gridelin will cast fumble on Scorch.
I’d like to see the result after 3 turns before inputting any further actions.

Flametongue casts a spell which puts Euras to sleep (Euras is out of the fight). Sistoo misses with his spear and throws a Throwing Wedge, doing 3 damage to Scorch. The Iron Statue hits Raven for 10 damage. Gridelin casts a Forget spell and the Black Knight and his companions stand there looking dazed.
Flametongue tries to cast Fireball but fails. Sistoo misses with his spear and throws a Throwing Wedge, doing 3 damage to Raven. The Iron Statue misses. Gridelin casts a Distortion spell; Scorch is unable to act for the next two Combat Turns.
Raven attacks with his sword and misses. Phantast keeps beating the drum to no effect. The Coautl casts another spell, which fails. The snakes attack again and one of them hits, bringing the Iron Statue to 1 Hit Point.
Please confirm that you wish to have Flametongue cast Fireball again, and have Gridelin do nothing this round (as Scorch is still affected by Distortion). (Should it be unclear, note that Forget-Me-Not Dragon Breath can be used on the Black Knight's allies, just not the Black Knight.)

Re: [Let's Play] Revenge of the Red Dragon: Flametongue
Whoops, I thought Fireball automatically hit. Or was it because of an effect from the Black Knight’s side? In any case, I will have Flametongue cast Fireball again until it hits.
If Lightning Bolt is not guaranteed to hit like I thought it would, then I will have Flametongue use the 3 Fiery Breath attacks instead after Fireball hits, cast Enlarge afterwards, and attack with claws and Fangs. Gridelin will cast Fumble on Raven, and then continually use Forget me not Dragon Breath on Scorch, unless Scirch is incapacitated, in which case Gridelin will use it on Phantast.
Please pause after 3 more rounds so I can see whether I need to modify the battle plan.

An offensive spell can hit, miss, hit for double damage, or get a "special effect" result, just like a physical attack. Only the spells which say "automatic effect" don't need to be rolled for.
Flametongue casts Fireball and hits: 5 damage each to Raven, Phantast, the Couatl, and the three snakes, killing the snakes. Sistoo misses with his glaive and automatically hits with a Throwing Wedge for 3 damage. The Iron Statue misses. Gridelin casts Fumble; Raven drops his sword and needs to spend the next round picking it up.

Phantast beats on the drum and nothing happens.
The Coatl casts Charm and the Iron Statue turns to attack you, and hits for 10 damage (to Flametongue or Sistoo)?. The Iron Statue is now on Raven's side.
Flametongue breathes fire and hits for 18 damage, destroying the Iron Statue. Sistoo swings his glaive and hits Scorch for 9 damage. Gridelin uses Forget-Me-Not Dragon Breath, but it fails.
Raven hits for 11 damage (to Flametongue or Sistoo?). Scorch casts Wall of Stone, blocking Sistoo from attacking for two rounds, though Flametongue and Gridelin fly over the wall and keep attacking. The Couatl tries to bite and misses. Phantast beats on the drum and nothing happens.
Flametongue breathes fire and hits (damage to be assigned). Gridelin breathes Forget-Me-Not Dragon Breath but it fails again. (The Black Knight is up, but I need to know who took the 10 and then 11 damage your group took.)

Re: [Let's Play] Revenge of the Red Dragon: Flametongue
I would like to have Flametongue take all of the 21 damage. Gridelin should breathe Forget me not Dragon Breath on the Couatl.
Definitely doesn’t look good for the dragon…

Re: [Let's Play] Revenge of the Red Dragon: Flametongue
Flametongue breathes fire a third time, killing the Couatl. Gridelin uses Forget-Me-Not Dragon Breath and fails again. Raven swings his sword, hitting Sistoo for 11 damage. Phantast beats on the drum and Sistoo is compelled to flee from the battle. Scorch swings a sword and misses.
Flametongue casts Enlarge on himself. Raven and Scorch both attack with swords and miss. Phantast bites Flametongue for three damage.
Flametongue gets a Special result. His claws and fangs hit automatically for double damage, killing Phantast. Raven misses, Scorch hits for 11 damage to Flametongue.
Flametongue hits for 22 damage, killing Scorch, whose bottle breaks. Raven hits for 11 damage to Flametongue.
Flametongue hits for 22 damage, killing Raven Quickblade.
You've won the battle! You don't ever again expect trouble from the Black Knight or his family! Your little friend, the Faerie Dragon, is back with you. You've had an enjoyable adventure, and now you can go back to your lair to sort out all the new treasures you acquired.
Who knows, maybe you'll get out more often. This was kind of fun.
