Looks like I had a meeting battle with Hinnom in the water province next to my capital.

I am just imagining "Big Demon Kitties like fishies" and couldn't help but think that's adorably cute.

Local flood conditions have abated. I now have no major distractions and my telecommunications are back to their normal state of reliability.

If you wish to set the turn interval back, it will not inconvenience me. If people are content with the current hosting interval, I will not be inconvenienced by that either.

Regardless, thanks for the turn extension.

Next to "our" capitals, you mean.

Fortunately, none of the powers have Sailing or water recruitables by default, but the water provinces do certainly represent an opportunity to conduct impressive flanking operations.

I was worried that the first player into the water would have an insurmountable province advantage because I was making the map for a group of land powers.

So I made the water provinces few in number, which necessarily means that they are physically large on the map.

Weren't we going to lengthen the host interval at some point?

I don't want the game to bog down, but I'm exhausted and I have a meeting tomorrow morning for which I haven't actually prepared...

The host interval has been extended to 36 hours. Do you need more?

Is anyone else getting repeated 'delivery failures' to llamaserver? I keep trying to submit my turns and that keeps happening.

Huh, I tried a few times, with eight hours between the first and last. Now it's working. Oh well, vagaries of the internet.

Yeh, out pact ends on 37.

Planning on attacking, eh? We shall miss our Ulmish friends, but they should be tasty.

Well, anyone who looks at the score graphs would realize that the inevitable world war is already starting, so we decided it was best to be ready to throw our hat in the ring.

We appreciate the sentiment of missing us after munching on us though :)

Yeah, started with the assassination of Archduchess Dianna. By the way, I'm calling it now: Hinnom's assassination of the Goddess of Sauromatia was the stupidest fucking action of the entire game.

Sauromatia was a central position with five neighbors, none of whom were Hinnom. By precipitating and aiding the collapse of Sauromatia, they were presenting a large province windfall to many possible factions, none of whom were Hinnom. Their actual regional rivals were Abysia, Lanka, and Ulm, of which the first two could be expected to gain a lot from the death of Sauromatia.

So Hinnom reached across the board to stab the enemy of their enemies, strengthening their enemies at their own expense. Dumbest thing ever.

Wait...I get access to assassins? And I took out the Goddess of Sauromatia? Without noticing?

I am so confused. Is this like the time I accidentally attacked an Ulmish province right after NAPPing with them?

I am Hinnom, right? Yeah...that seems right.

Our goddess got Mind Hunted. Only two factions in the world had access to that technology at the time: Tien Chi and Hinnom. Tien Chi was under NAP at the time, so by disavowing responsibility you are directly accusing Tien Chi of having broken a Non Aggression pact.

Are you trying to goad Pangaea into mindhunting the Sauromatian commanders in Formoria?

'Coz I'm almost certain you have an Enarie in there.

Fascinating. If you like, I will send you this turn file privately via e-mail, and you can find sufficient information to confirm that I did not mindhunt your goddess.

I offer the hypothesis that there might be more nations capable of mindhunt on the map than initially suspected. If Pangea is telling the truth in the previous post that's 3, and scouts hint at a 4th.
