I didn't know this when I got the game, but a demon form is a core part of the game, gives you different powerful counterattacks and a super mode.

Even more surprisingly you can gain a monster attack ability from most enemies in the game, you temporarily manifest their weapon or become them. It's quite like FFXI blu magic.

Nioh 2's a much larger game in customization than I expected

Character creation is also really in depth. The customizability of the eyes is great.
The default gives you a pretty thick head and short neck though, you can make a more long necked ooking character by raising the eyes, nose, mouth up on the face, then reducing the chin.
