FIGHTER!

Post by radthemad4 »

I suddenly remembered I wrote this

FIGHTER!

HD: d10
BAB: Full
Good Fort and Will
Skills: 4 + Int per level
Class Skills: are not worth the effort so 'All' I guess
Armor and Weapon Proficiencies: Everything. Including improvised things.

1

The Touch: You gain a 2+1/3 HD (rounded up) bonus to touch attack and ranged touch attack rolls (e.g. for trip or grapple or throwing nets or whatever) and don't provoke AoOs for using maneuvers like trip, grapple, etc. Add the bonus to any checks resulting from these (e.g. trip or grapple checks). Add your shield bonus to AC to your touch AC. If you don't carry a shield, you gain a +1/3 HD (rounded up) bonus to shield AC.

The Power: You gain Power Attack as a bonus feat and add your fighter level to weapon damage rolls (including unarmed and natural weapons).

You're a fighter: You count your HD as your fighter level for the purpose of taking feats or prcs or whatever. You also gain a fighter bonus feat (This cannot be a Tome Scaling Combat feat, but Koumei Combat feats are okay) at level 1 and every multiple of 3. You can ignore prerequisites for these as long as it would be possible for a character of your level to qualify for them. You can draw or sheathe weapons as a free action. Strapping on or removing a shield is also a free action. Any unattended weapon or shield (or object that could be improvised as either) within your natural reach can also be wielded or strapped on as a free action.

Know just what it takes: You know the AC (including flatfooted, touch and flatfooted touch), DR, and Hardness of any creature you can see.

2

The Moves: You have an initiator level equal to your fighter level if it would otherwise be lower, and you learn four Fightan Magic maneuvers and two stances that you have a high enough initiator level to learn (you can ignore other prerequisites). You learn an additional two maneuvers and an additional stance for every level past 2. You can ready two maneuvers for every level you have and can recover them as a Warblade. If you prefer, you may substitute your highest mental ability score for the purpose of maneuver save DCs or any references to an ability score for any maneuvers you use (even if you get them from other classes or feats). At least half (round up) of your Fighter maneuvers and stances of each maneuver level have to be from the actual Tome of Battle book, but the others may be Homebrew or from Path of War or whatever if your DM is okay with those. You can swap any number of maneuvers out for different maneuvers or stances of the same level every time you level up (the 'half need to be from ToB rule' still applies).

Know the Streets: You gain a +6 bonus to Gather Information, Knowledge Local and Geography and always have maximum ranks in these (if you already spent ranks in them, you can retcon that)

Break the Rules: You gain a +3 bonus to Sleight of Hand, Use Rope, Open Lock, Disable Device, Search, Bluff and Disguise and always have maximum ranks in these (if you already spent ranks in them, you can retcon that). You also gain trapfinding as a Rogue.

3

Take the Heat: You gain Energy Resistance 6 to Acid, Cold, Fire, Electricity and Sonic

Nobody's Fool: You are immune to mind affecting effects and fear effects (though you may choose to be affected by them if you like, e.g. from an ally providing a buff). You gain a +3 bonus to Sense Motive, Appraise, Spot and Listen and always have maximum ranks in these (if you already spent ranks in them, you get them back)

In the Blood: You gain the Blooded One template without the Int loss. If you already had combat reflexes, you can retcon it out for something else.

In the Will: You gain Iron Will as a bonus feat. If you already had it, retcon that out for something else.

Mighty Hands of Steel: You gain Fatal Strike as the Tome Monk.

4

Standing your ground: You get a +4 bonus on ability checks or saving throws made to resist being bull rushed, tripped, grappled, knocked down, checked, blown away, lifted, thrown, teleported, planeshifted or otherwise moved from your current position. If using Tome maneuvers, add this to the DC to use the bullrush, trip, hold down and lift maneuvers on you. This bonus increases by an additional +4 at levels 10, 15 and 20. You do not need to actually be standing on solid ground to benefit from this.

The Heart (of Air): You can cast Heart of Air as an SLA at will

The Motion: All your move speeds increase by 30 ft + an additional 10 feet per two levels beyond four. This is an enhancement bonus.

5

Fight to the end: You gain Diehard as a bonus feat

Taking it all: If killed, you may act freely for three rounds before you actually die.

But it's never enough: You can take an Immediate Action without losing your Swift Action next turn.

You're a fighter!: You unlock the other class features of this class when your HD matches those levels and count your HD as your fighter level for the benefits of this class (if your HD exceeds your CR, use your CR instead of your HD for determining additional fighter class features). Maybe take a PRC or dip a few things and then take a PRC.

6

The Heart (of Water): You can cast Heart of Water as an SLA at will

7

Fighting fire with fire: As an immediate action, you can take an attack action against any enemy that attacks you.

8

The Heart (of Earth): You can cast Heart of Earth as an SLA at will

9

Riding the Eye of the Storm: You are immune to wind effects, but can choose to be moved harmlessly by them without taking damage or falling prone

10

The Heart (of Fire): You can cast Heart of Fire as an SLA at will

15
The Touch!: All your attacks target touch AC

20

You're a winner!: You win D&D

I love the ability names, but it lacks any semblance of offensive ability...

It's got a few ToB Maneuvers (and/or Path of War maneuvers I guess), a Slam attack and some (non Tome) fighter bonus feats.

I guess I'll let it ignore prereqs for the Fighter bonus feats and increase the number of maneuvers. Also edited it so you take 5 levels and then multi/prestige class afterwards.

STAN BUSH FOREVER
Is this wretched demi-bee
Half asleep upon my knee
Some freak from a menagerie?
No! It's Eric, the half a bee
