Setup House Rules
[*] Ends of the Matrix
[*] Max Force summoned is conjurer's Magic + 5
[*] Spirit Stats: Skills at (Force/2, round up); Mental attributes 3 when ubounded, 4 while bounded, and 5 for great form; Edge is 0 while unbound, 1 while bound (refreshed with rebinding)
[*] Variations on Toxic, Blood, & Inhabitation spirits
  • Toxics are just regular spirits whose first optional power is a Toxic Power
    Blood use standard Essence Drain
Inhabitation spirit's Essence is the lower of their Force or host's Essence, and their Magic stat is equal to their Essence. Good merges use the higher of the two mental stats
[*]Attributes are 20BP for the unaugmented maximum, and for one point past
[*]Skills are at half BP cost, with full transitive property on groups
[*]Karma replaced with BP that cannot be spent on contacts or nuyen after character creation. Cut karma rewards in half for BP given in a session. Purchases with only karma costs listed are converted to BP on a 1:2 ratio (except for Initiation)
[*]Magic/Resonance are flat 10 BP per point.
[*]Contacts cost (Loyalty x Connections)CP, each BP buys 3CP
[*]No sustaining foci
[*]Nuyen is bought at 7.5K per BP

Crew
Tallow: Just like the last campaign, this is an acrobatic satyr magician with a focus on spirit summoning.
Genji Shimada: Ex-Yakuza gamer who has spent 50BP of their starting character on 'ware. They wield a vibrosword, longbow, and all four of their lower limbs have been replaced with obvious cyber. The only visual difference from Overwatch's Genji is the use of raptor legs with the skimmer modification (25 m/s walking speed).
Cipher: A walking '90s hacker cliche. Decked out in 'ware to improve their decker skills, their most visually distinctive trait is their lower left arm replaced with a bulky/obvious modular cyberlimb (ie, the Power Glove). Well, that and continually worn sunglasses (thermographic + low-light upgrades), inline skates, and armored trenchcoat.
Dixon Hill: Mundane Elven Pornomancer, with gun bunny as their secondary schtick (Playboy Gun Bunny?)

Session 1
Checking with their contacts for a quick job, one of their fixers hooks them up with a Johnson looking for quick work.
  • Image
Gunderson (human ♂): Small-time Johnson, almost never seen out of his sweat suit. While his inventory is neither consistent nor applicable to a runner's needs, he does a lot of his business in the black market as a fence.
They meet up with him at a grungy coffee shop known as Jumpers, already adding a flask of something to his soykaf. His job is for the party to steal a container of whole milk from a delivery vehicle before it reaches its destination. After haggling on price (2400¥), he gave the more salient details. His sources are that tomorrow, one of the delivery trucks stopping at this one Stuffer Shack in Tacoma will also be carrying a large container of the milk.
Just as they finished their drinks, Cipher's adblocker software starts alerting to a Jingle. He finally noticed the hacker in his network from this, and began to use Hack on the Fly for Backtrack while not permitting the hacker to disconnect. This sustained program is broken by the hacker, forcing Cipher to start looking at Icons connected to the hacker. He noticed the Gride Guide icon and infiltrates that to get authorization to change its course, as well as to have it e-mail him its current location. Now knowing the location, about 400m away in traffic, the party began hoofing it, Tallow commanded a spirits to give them Movement.

The hacker has, by this point, crawled out of the car and is began trying to run. He sent an e-mail to Lone Star about being accosted, and added both location and local photographs. The party caught him hiding under trash, and subdued him. Relying on Lone Star response times, they bodily carried him to another building and went hog-wild with a Hacked-on-the-Fly Taxman on his naked brain.

Willie Barclay (human ♂) He's got corporate-sponsored AR tags that both make his outfit look professional and indicate his employment with Greenpine. He's a street hacker who works contracts for legally grey advertising campaigns.
Willie's commlink showed that Jingle he tried to use on Cipher was an add for a local chop-shop, which Cipher was chosen as he had obvious cybernetics that didn't look extremely expensive like Genji's did (targeted advertising). There's also a file in Willie's commlink, heavily encrypted, so they copied that and dumped his unconscious body in a dumpster and his commlink in a dumpster fire.

Session 2
Image
They headed out to Tacoma the night before to get a scope of the place. It's surrounded by road & vandalized parking lot, the shortest open space being the 25m from the back of the store to some random warehouse. In front is a large factory, where low-lifestyle wage slaves shuffle in and out. The Stuffer Shack is empty for all but 15min every two hours, when employees from the factory come out to use it. The interior layout is just walls of AR-tagged vending machines, cleaning drones, and a holo-emitting customer service drone. Accessible only through the back door is the storage facility where forklift drones move product into the vending machines from whatever delivery trucks bring in, as well as packaging the product and such. In this back-room area is the only meat brain for the facility, some slovenly orc spider laying on a beanbag and watching trids.
Cipher used his l337-skills to hack into the cameras to better know the layout and fabricate a false feed so Genji can sneak in undetected under Concealment from Tallow's spirits. The spider is confused at the backdoor opening without any accompanying truck, but eventually stopped wondering and walked back toward her bean bag. Genji then sneaked up and judo chopped the spider into unconsciousness, then dragged her under some drug wrappers while Cipher sifted through all of the databanks for possible information. They learn about shift changes and the delivery itinerary, but the data had nothing on truck identities. Cipher then fabricated footage of the spider tripping and having a box of product fall on their bruise, wiped any other possible trace of their presence, used Hack on the Fly for a Backdoor, and then the party walked away.

The first truck delivery will be in four hours from that point, so they headed over to a coffin motel to sleep; Cipher and Dixon had sleep regulators, so they got up in time to Taxman (hack on the fly) the manifest for the first truck while the other two continued sleeping. That truck did not, and the other two finally got up and took watch for the second, which also did not have the milk. But finally, the third [strikethrough]burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp[/strikethrough] contained the payload.

While Cipher began his process of hacking more deeply into the system to start messing with the manifest to hide the theft, Tallow magnified the sight to look at the truck’s guard (truck is self-driving) and cast Mob Mind for the command that they really need to use the restroom. Just as the truck began to back up, a gang of five arrived on their bikes, parked in front, and began to approach the back on foot. By the time Tallow was able, she could only hit two of them with Mob Mind, so she hit the likely leader and one other with the command of “too spooky, get out”. As the weather was terrible and the leader relied on verbal communication, the others weren’t able to hear as they rounded the corner. The pee-dancing guard jumped out of the truck opposite the approaching gangsters, ran the corner and into the spooked leader, who took this as a hostile sign and opened fire. This was heard by the others, who then threw their napalm molotov at the truck. Genji charged the three near the truck while Cipher took over the truck to start it moving forward. Dixon aimed and double-tapped one of the three gangsters while the gangster leader exchanged fire with the guard. On IP 2, the truck was fully taken over, Genji took out the third gangster, and Dixon KO’d the guard. The gangster leader and buddy hopped on their bikes and got the hell out of there.

With the violence over, Genji jumped into the truck to find an advanced crate containing 2.500 litres of farm-fresh whole milk.

They hefted it away and handed it over to Gunderson at the meeting point, where his truck and troll were waiting. They walked away 600¥ richer each.

After scene: Cipher was curious about the encrypted file on Willie, so he used this downtime to Hack on the Fly a Rtg 4 Decrypt program. He then fail sufficiently hard that it will take a month of sustaining the program to finish.
