Ancient History wrote:It's been a while since I read the book, so a few of the finer details obviously slipped my mind. Anyway, this is one of the oddball things that accumulate in the dingier corners of oWoD before they went full-porn, like those necromancy rites that required necrophilia.
The actual entry is really vague on the mechanisms. It probably could be interpreted either way.
You are filled with life-giving essence, to the peril of anyone who knows you. If anyone drinks from the same glass as you, uses the same bathing pool, or even handles your clothing or utensils, they can have children who will resemble you. Even people who are sterile or barren might become pregnant because of you (Storyteller's option, and certainly not applicable to metis characters). This can become annoying, and cause some serious misunderstandings.
I interpret it as overwriting, because of its use of "anyone" rather than "any woman." Since the other possible interpretation leads to mpreg. Also since it says they "can" have children who resemble you, rather than they will have children who resemble you, suggests that it might take some effort on their part.

But the wording is terribly vague, and I can see how your interpretation is not unreasonable.

My favorite Merit, by the way, is Veiled to Garou. You know how Werewolves during the Impergium murdered ancient humans so hard that most living humans go insane when looking at them? Well, Mokole did that to Werewolves. It's a 7 point merit, but if you take it then Garou will experience delerium from your Archid form just like a normal human would, though they use the higher of Rage or Willpower to determine effects.
