Well, it kind of makes you sound like a cannibal.

Gibs are those chunky pieces of videogame enemies that fly everywhere when you hit them with a rocket launcher. A jib is... well, okay, I don't know what a jib is, but whatever the hell it is it's that thing people like the cut of.

It's a type of sail.

Specifically, it's the triangular sail at the front of a ship.
