Checking level appropriateness of a Blackguard Variant

The paladin in my game is a yuan-ti pureblood who might fall after stabbing a party member to awaken Merrshaulk enough to get some directions (I say might because its debatable as to whether or not he should fall for just that), so I sat down and wrote up a Merrshaulk themed Blackguard variant in case the player decides to go that direction.
I just want to see what people think of the abilities and whether I over or undershot the level appropriateness of them.
Modifications:
*Scaled ones are listed in Serpent Kingdoms, but basically it's anything with the [Reptilian] subtype and a lot of things that should have it, but not dragons.

Modifications:
- Requirements: as BG, but be ordained by a representative of M. rather than make peaceful contact with a fiend.
- Aura of the Serpent: as Aura of Evil, but automatically know any attempt to detect your alignment and make a Will save (DC 10+detector's class/caster level) to present a different alignment. Replaces Aura of Evil.
- Living Holy Symbol: grow a cobra hood usable as a holy symbol, can't be detected when not in use, confers 1/3 char. lv. enhancement bonus to Intimidate when deployed.
- Deathwatch: replaces Detect Good, usable at will.
- Cruel Touch: touch deals 1d8+class level, weapons deal bonus 1d4+class level. Usable 1/day, +1/3 class levels. Replaces Smite Good.
- Command Scaled Ones: replaces Command Undead, works the same.
- Aura of Somnolence: radiate a constant Deep Slumber effect out to 10 ft. Creatures receive a cumulative -1 penalty to their save per consecutive round spent in aura. Leaving the aura resets their "drowsiness." Replaces Aura of Despair.
- Scaly Servant: As Fiendish Servant, but instead of a fiendish animal, you choose a scaled one* with CR equal to 1/2 your character level or less.
