So, Kung Fury

Post by AndreiChekov »

It is one of the most actionpacked awesome mind blowing world defying trope toting pieces of filming that I have ever seen.

I'm pretty sure that it covers every single trope from 80s cop/kung fu/action movies, and it has Triceracop.

So, does anyone know of more of this sort of awesomeness?

Maybe Norwegian Ninja? But it's a bit more slow paced and subtle. Can't tell if it's brilliant or terrible myself.

Danger 5 does the same sort of thing Kung Fury does, but it's better.
Out beyond the hull, mucoid strings of non-baryonic matter streamed past like Christ's blood in the firmament.

If I had to name something that had a similar feel to it, I'd say Overdrift (and sequel)

oh wow. overdrift. that was amazing. That fit the ridiculous fulfilment of tropes that I was looking for. We have to get the team back together! He can't do math! yay!

I have seen norwegian ninja. I vote for brilliant. I normally watch slice of life anime, so if something can be great enough to make me watch a different genre, and not turn it off 10 minutes in, then it has to be good.

I didn't even know that was a thing...
Is this wretched demi-bee
Half asleep upon my knee
Some freak from a menagerie?
No! It's Eric, the half a bee

Oh, I suppose there is always Double The Fist...

I'd recommend season 1 over season 2 by personal preference.
