Right, I was talking about nWoD, in which Demons are the Matrix Programs, Hunters are just dudes, Mummies don't exist (I think), and Mages are high on cosmological drugs, but don't have extra soul bits. True for the oWoD. Vampires also had the Beast, who may or may not be an extra bonus soul shard.

There is Mummy: the Curse for your nWoD-Mummy-fix.

Onyx Path made a Mummy "game" for release to their online fans. If we count Onyx Path's Demon as "existing" we'd have to count Mummy: the Curse as well. I can't be fucked to read either one, but the oWoD version of both of them involved fusing to soul shards.

I genuinely don't know what the story is for nWoD Hunters, because that book is fucking unreadable. The oWoD version is about fusing to soul shards.

Hunters in general are just dudes, split into three tiers of hunter organizatons, or "conspiracies". At the bottom are scrubs with pitchforks. At the top are government squad with plasma rifles, satanists with demonic powers, and corporate assassins who stick bits of monsters to themselves for temporary powers.

If someone handed me a buttplug that magically turned me into a demon or dragon, I wouldn't turn it down.

....now I kind of want to make an AO rpg where enchanted buttplugs with gems on the end are a standard form of treasure.

Hmm. So, sort of like a Collect Them All shounen anime. Mystical beasts were trapped in gemstones long ago, and you can channel their power by inserting these gems into your anus.

Thus you have a built in war between rival factions to collect all the buttplugs first.

I'm trying to think what the game would be exactly beyond kink-themed magic items. Like... what's the in-world explanation? I mean, obviously there'd be a bit of a fixation on whips and the like, and you'd want pretty robust grappling mechanics, and probably Shibari as an artform in the culture, but what else?

I remember reading a pornographic manga story called Tranny Sorcorer. Its set in a fantasy world where arcane magic (which only men can use in that setting) is powered by sexual frustration, and thus only works if you're aroused for long periods of time but don't climax.

Of course, in that story it turns out that conventional understanding is wrong and Arcane Magic is actually powered by semen, so while orgasm denial is an effective way to increase your magical strength, it's vastly inferior to the alternative of receiving lots and lots of gay buttsex from virile fighters.

Thus the titular sorcerer (who gave himself a feminine figure because he was in love with a gay fighter who only adventures with women to prevent sexual tension) ends up becoming absurdly powerful after coming out to his companion

It really depends on what types of jokes you're going for.
All magic is powered by sexual arousal leads to "but I don't find this arousing at all" "then why is it working?"
All wizards are perverts leads to "I'm really uncomfortable wearing this."

Of course, the other way to do is is to just don't give an explanation. It's just the way things are. You're in the pulpiest pulp setting possible. Armor doesn't cover anything. This chainmail thong provides more protection than full body plate armor. People can see your junk through the gap in the rings. That doesn't matter. This speedo saved you from being decapitated by a raging Yeti.
