Hopefully Paige will return to the UK and sign on with WCPW.

Bayley.

Also is CM Punk's impending execution wrestling related?

Given he's straight-edge, I have no idea why he would go into a sport where apparently he'll be the only person not starting each day with a steroid cocktail.

There was jiujitsu involved

Well, from a technical grappling perspective there wasn't a literal guillotine, but umm, yeah.

So, damn. AJ Styles world champ, Reigns snubbed again from the main event scene, KO and Jericho being awesome. Kind of a good week so far. Have to see what happened on Smackdown tomorrow on Hulu.

Styles did some amazing heel work, then Cena came out then Ambrose came out, and those two cut loose on each other. I was actually entertained by some of what Cena said, holy shit. They did more of the "What is a face? What is a heel?" blurring of lines for them.

Then Shane "It's not about the management any more" McMahon came out and (spoilered if you care and haven't already figured it out)
Declared it a triple threat match at No Mercy
That wasn't the whole show, just the start, so there's definitely been worse.

Watched it tonight, thought the workers were spitting some hot promo work and then Shane fucked it all up with "Of course he gets a title shot, he's JOHNNNNNNN CENAAAAAAAAAA!"

Rest of the night was mostly forgettable because no KO and Jericho. Main event was nice, Miz is doing good work. Enjoying Heath and Rhino as tag champs, see how long that will last. Jack Swagger was a ?

NXT was fairly entertaining, women's match was dull, roster is thin after the call ups. Authors of Pain are brilliantly murdering people. Main event was fairly predictable, but I like both dudes. Samoa Joe managed to pull off the swerve on me, not sure if it will be more of the same monster Joe vs lethal Shinsuke from now on or if they manage to freshen it up a bit.

Did WWE forget that Brock was billed from Minnesota for practically my entire adult life? I get that the Twin Cities is generally considered a loyal, marky fanbase but ffs, we're still talking about wrestling fans.

A miserable pile of Kayfabe.

Are there wrestlers other than Nakumura and Asuka from Japan in the US right now?

Yes. Hideo Itami/KENTA has been in NXT for longer than either of those two but has been snake bit by injuries. New Japan Pro Wrestling has working agreements with both ROH and CMLL so big shows and crossover events between any two those three promotions is fairly likely to have a Japanese wrestler in there somewhere. And of course there's few well-known freelancers like Jushin Liger and Seiya Sanada who occasionally work stateside as well as some smaller fry I can't be assed to keep track of.

WWE is stupid and I hate what they are doing with Sami Zayn. I feel like every time I give raw a chance they poop down my neck.

Oh yeah, they're doing the Braun/Zayn feud, aren't they?

RAW is three hours of being headbutted into submission by Vince. Watch Smackdown instead.

Shane died so that our hatred for Roman might live.

But fortunately, Randy Orton died for our sins sacrificed himself so that Bray Wyatt might defeat Roman Reigns. It's like they're doing things with Wyatt that they should have done more than 2 years ago.

And I liked the triple-team powerbomb, as sick as I am of Ambrose, and with any luck Elsworth was kayfabe-killed by Strohman and we'll never see him again. Overall it was a good match.

Possible reasons for the length of the match:
-Goldberg is potentially injured, let's play it safe
-Goldberg is only good at brief bursts of violence, let's not do a match that drags on with poor actual wrestling
-If the fans turn against it like last time, they don't have to wrestle through fifteen minutes of booing and CM Punk chants
-Remember how Bork sprung positive on a drug test for UFC and suffered no consequences? Well here's his chance to eat shit and smile - we can't send the message that it's okay even if your build terrifies/arouses Vince.

The fact that it happened at all is good in that it was unexpected and gives people a reason to tune into Raw. And now we see that Goldberg is going to enter the Rumble and potentially have a title run, which... probably won't be great if it happens. And yes, anyone demolishing Bork just throws more mud on the Undertaker (by diminishing the terror of the beast who beat the streak), but ultimately that's a problem with ending the streak in the first place.

Also, well done Mick, with that comment about "tossing". And then on Raw Enzo gets his cock out (censored but still). Oh PG era, you so crazy.

More on the PG era: constant references to Rusev having a soft dick, and Dolph saying he pays women to beat him. Stay premium, gents.

Anyway, what with it now being December, I noticed a little song about Santa, with the lyrics "He's making a list, he's checking it twice".

So... is Chris Jericho actually Father Christmas?

Pretty sure the audience would have actually burned the stadium to the ground had Reigns won. And you know full well that having him lose his match, then come out at 30 in the Rumble, eliminate the Undertaker and Jericho himself and reduce it to Reigns vs Orton, was basically the booking team fucking with fans.

It's weird to say I'm glad that Orton won, because things like the Rumble are ideal for new people to get a needed push, and he's just kind of... there, whereas there are so many others (half of them also well-established) that would have had a great story going forwards. On the other hand, it wasn't Reigns.

I really want more heels to be like KO and Jericho and Rusev, where half the audience cheer for them. If you're not going to have Satanic cults with human sacrifice, just make it like most sports where people can legitimately cheer for either competitor. I don't even watch matches with Charlotte or Miz any more, I dislike them so much.
