Big hair in the 80s sense went out of fashion. Now it tends to long hair or crazy anime do's that defy physics.
This is big hair.

It's still around but the shape has changed.

Also, just yesterday I finished Ghost in the Shell. All of it. So I'm on a Shirow roll.
