The Gaming Den

Hi all,

New user here, just introducing myself..

I've played various things in the past; tabletop wargames, board games, role-playing games, but I don't have much time IRL for all that at the moment (baby in the house! =)).

I *have* been founding some shards of time for gamebooks though, an old hobby of mine that goes way back, so I thought I'd stop by and look for a [LP] or two to follow, and maybe even run one too. I've DM'd PbP on several occasions in the past but have never tried a gamebook.. it looks like fun.

Make sure you're aware of the board culture before you are surprised by some of the language.

I have been impressed by the way there can be sensible to-and-fro discussions, possibly with one side even admitting to changing their mind about something, while both sides simultaneously say things about each other which might be considered a screaming-abuse-fest out of context.

Of course, that isn't always true.
