Apparently my character is an accidental shoutout to the Rock because I picked scorpion claws for the grapple bonus

and Earth Mastery because it sounded fun.

Okay, a shoutout to a shoutout in this case

One of my classes has been shifted to game time, so I'm no longer available on Mondays and Wednesdays. Showing up late on Tuesdays is currently the only option for me. If it's a problem I'll drop out.

Is that Tuesdays for you or for me? Either way, it's not a problem for me (less a problem than running a game for just two people would be).

Your Tuesdays.

Is roughly 15 hours from now okay for everyone? I can actually be on time since my class has been cancelled.

Just for my memory really, an update of what happened this week:
-The game started, with the group basically waking up in a field
-Everyone wandered over to Argent Vale and decided to get a pint
-Apparently, goblins are militarising out to the South, and one bloke swears he saw a dragon fly overhead
-Also, some corpses washed up with shark bites, and stiff as granite
-Next session the group will apparently be looking into these things

So, 20 hours from now right? Might be up to 15 minutes late if class drags on, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it.

Yeah, that's the plan.

Session recap: the party investigated the corpses, and came to the conclusion that the swimmers were paralysed by lacedons (aquatic ghouls), drowned to death, which caused the paralysis to become permanent, and were then bitten a bit by sharks, which found them too hard for proper eating.

They then decided to check out the goblin thing, and trampled a "Difficult" (CR 2) encounter of 6 goblins. One PC took 3 damage! Also, a lot of missing happened because the dicebot is a bitch, and also because low level. And one guy lacks proficiency with his weapon, too, which doesn't help.

They interrogated the one survivor, learned that a hobgoblin called Snurk is leading them, from a burrow to the East, and then he was horribly couped de gras to help meet a prestige class. Or for fun.

Just a reminder that starting this next week, I'm back at work, which means I won't be hanging around earlier, and will be more likely to show up around the same time Cham showed up last time.

Slightly late is fine by me.

On a different note:

Our items haven't been particularly chatty so far.

That's partly because I wanted to give you guys time to start and get used to each other and all that, and partly because I forgot to keep a list. Can you guys just each make a post stating who your co-owner is and the specific magic item + creature infused within it?

Time zones are weird here. I think this is when we start, and since connections are also weird I think I'm in the chatroom. But I'm the only one. Clearly I've gotten either the time zones or the connection wrong.

EDIT: Wait, no, just realized I was converting time zones in the wrong direction.

This is why the world needs to use one unified time zone, and just accept that in some countries, the sun rises at 4 PM. It's not so weird, given in some countries, the sun rises "in June" and sets "in November".

Actually many things would be easier if everyone just did precisely what I say.

So last session, the party ran into more goblins, this time with Minion feats, and it was hilarious. But I was too tired from work, and from Lars being a pain in the ass, so the entire session was that combat. If I don't go to work next Tuesday or start taking meth or something, I might have enough energy that next session you get to meet the boss of the goblins and deal with him in some manner, violent or otherwise. Probably violent.

Sorry about that. I'll roll some dice next time I get decision paralysis.

Btw, should my slam attack be a d10 instead of a d8?

Posted: Fri Jul 25, 2014 12:45 am
by Koumei
Yes, because you wield it as one size category larger and have that generally larger body.

And it's less the indecision paralysis, more the armchair tactician bit where someone else's turn takes fifteen minutes because you're discussing what they should do.

Okay, I'll keep that pre game from now on.

Guys, could we not kill all the prisoners this time? Their minion feats would make for awesome one time weapons for someone with reach.

I'll be there in case it does. If not, yeah, I'll suddenly contract TB or ebola or something next Tuesday and go home at lunch so I can have a nap and be ready and alert in time for the game.
