That's really cool. It seems the only ways high level can really work are either "we started at a lower level and want to keep playing and advancing so we go higher-level and agree to artificially limit our playstyle to the same as it was before*", or "Let's all do stupid shit. Potentially trolling each other as well."

That I can definitely understand. A lot of it was having not eaten enough that day, but this past Tuesday I was pretty pissed when I got to the game after my normal ride not showing up with no word about it, and having to put gas in the tank which was mostly used just going to the game and coming home (my car gets 14 miles to the gallon, and I really only put $10 in the tank at a time because I'm usually pretty broke).

Fair enough, that makes a lot of sense. The worst I've had to travel for games was... it'd be about 1-2 hours by foot, or half an hour by bus (I can't remember if it was two buses or maybe a train and a bus), which, back then, only cost $5 tops. And even if the game was called off, we'd still stay a while, chat, have dinner and all that, being actual friends outside of the game (like the hilarious time where the MC was sitting there playing GTA, driving over people as you do, and said "Oh yeah, no game today, Martin got hit by a car").
