DUST is good, if you can get over it being ah, well seems like it was made by furries. The action and overall design and look is great, though. I should re-install it, but I got stuck last time.

Combat was pretty flowy.
I also liked how your grab-specials (some of your stronger attacks) could work on bosses.
Edit: Volgarr will be an auto-buy if he rides on a

STALKER and King's Bounty don't need introduction.
Space Rangers is amazing, and probably the best game I've ever played. It's a top-down turn based space simulator, with choose-your-own-adventure planetary quests and 3d strategy planetary battles.
Vangers and everything by Ice-Pick are cool, but trippy. Perimeter is made by the same guys who made Vangers, and is a very unusual strategy.

Stalker is good, and there is an active mod community for it.
My favourite moment in Call of Pripyat was when an entire level's worth of mutant dogs and some snorks all swarmed me, which was like 30+ enemies. For a long time I holed myself up a ladder and took potshots and threw grenades at the swarm, but it only thinned their numbers. Eventually I was out of grenades, out of rifle ammo, and down to maybe 50 rounds of pistol ammo so I decided to vault out the 2nd story window and sprint to the armed checkout about 200m away. I dunno if they managed to kill them all, but I didn't stay behind to check. Such is life in the Zone.
