Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Played the everloving shit out of KoF2k2 back on mame emulator. Grabbed that free version. Ok lets see if I can set my controls up how I want. YOU CANNOT REBIND YOUR KEYS AT ALL AND THE DEFAULT BINDS ARE SET UP BY A MONKEY. Said monkey also hates left handed people.

Ok fine I'll plug in a gamepad. Turns out my 4 attack keys are 3 face buttons and a shoulder button. I want my goddamn money back.

Edit: Poking around in the installed files I found a zip file with a torrent site in the description, so its almost like SNK or whoever grabbed an emulated copy, packaged it in a shitty shell (you can see it pop up an emulator when you hit launch) and sold that.

I saw the reviews of the game and man, this has to be the jankiest release I've seen.

Also Dungeons 2 is now added as a free game.

Yeah, I'd expect that kind of crap from Steam which pushes out games as is even if they won't work without some kind of fan patch intervention. I know its not GoG's fault but rather whoever cobbled together that release.

Dungeons 2 is a good game I can endorse though (got it free a while back on Humblebundle) like a cross between Dungeon Keeper and an RTS.

Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius has been free since forever in Steam. It's nice enough for the price (you're the captain of a prototype ship building up your harem of female pilots and their personalized mechas) but kinda short since it's supposed to be a "demo" for the paid sequel.

Plenty of anime tropes, but the combat does some interesting things like a salvo of missiles actually counts as a multiple attacks so even a dodgy unit may be hit by some, but anything with decent armor will shrugg them off as each missile deals little damage. However armor goes down when you lose HP so for big armored targets you want to first soften them up with big single shot attacks then unleash your multi-hit attacks. Several pilots also have buffs/debuffs. And you can buy freaking nuclear missiles pretty early!

Sadly you cannot cut ships in half with your mecha swords, which is particularly bad for your melee-specialized pilot as about half the enemies are ships (plus you can only move like 3 hexes per turn when you're easily being sniped from 6 hexes away and that's completely giving up attacks not to mention giving up on ally defensive auras).

Strangely enough, Mask of Arcadius has some combat animations, while the sequel has completely static images.

It's a great cause, and I'll definitely be chipping in, but it's all download passes? I'm desperately short on disk space and can't afford to pick up a spare drive right now. Does anybody know how long the download pass lasts? I can chuck the ones I want on a dozen Google Drive accounts or something if I've got time to relay them up.

far as I know, access to purchased Itch.io DRM free stuff lasts as long as Itch.io itself does, and there's no indication that these have an expiry date. So time itself shouldn't be a material concern.

There's some interesting tabletop games in that bundle, like Visigoths vs Mall Goths.
Visigoths vs. Mall Goths is a tabletop roleplaying game and dating sim about the conflicts and romances among the warriors who sacked ancient Rome and 20th century spooky teens, set in a suburban Los Angeles shopping mall during 1996. There are a lot of bisexuals.
