Short answer: Yes, with a but.
Long answer: It still suffers from being short, specifically it remains quite railroady. However, it has at least three new things in its favor. First, it does a new thing integrating the graphic element into the gameplay; specifically, there are visual clues to direct choices that would be blind if one only went by the text. Second, it is amazingly similar to the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, despite coming out three years before that movie did, so that's cool.
Third, it includes the finest choice ever provided in all of interactive fiction:
