Since it's unusually relevant to one of the core topics of this forum, I thought I'd link you to the Relaxed Warrior. It may bother you slightly that it's more inspired by One Piece than by Beowulf, but I'm sure you agree that Roronoa Zoro acts very much like a Sorcerer.

On Signature Deeds: as a Wizard-level class, the Relaxed Warrior has to be able to do basically everything. However, I don't want all Relaxed Warriors to be the same, and I don't want to make half a dozen different Deeds for each task just so that some Relaxed Warriors can planeshift by slashing open reality while others planeshift by running really fast.
