I've been tempted to port over some work I've been doing on Word pad, but using copy+paste means I lose all of the bolt/italic/underline formatting. Going in and manually adjusting each instance is time-consuming at the best of times.

Is there a way to convert a document like that into BBCode?

Put it in a word processor, show formating, find and replace.
