The rules for being emotionless are given under Evil Plants for some awful reason. The gist is that you cannot Frenzy, gain no benefit from having a Driving Passion and cannot be convinced of anything via Rhetoric.

Dryads don't get any benefit from a Driving Passion anyway, so that's upping the case for self-rooting if not for everyone else lining up to be rooted. Unless there's a step in Mind Root that I missed that inherently can't be self-administered.

Also, the exact words really aren't much longer than that summary, and only categorically rule out Arguments from Emotion rather than all the other Rhetoric options:
Completely emotionless, Evil Plants are not motivated by passions and cannot be induced to frenzy nor convinced against a course of action with emotional argument of any kind.
Yeah, nothing but buffs here if you've already lost your Driving Passion to "being a Dryad" or "taking the signature Dryad drawback". Except for War Form users I guess, what with the Simple Action transform upon frenzying feature.
