I finally got to see Kubo and the Two Strings.

It is a tragedy that this movie did not make all the damn money. I loved it.

Go see it.

He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

Finally got around watching Stranger Things. While it indeed rocks, I got confused: What's particularly After Sundowny about it?

Meaning, why AS works better there than say, Hunter: The Reckoning or CoC?

My wife and I just finished Stranger Things last night and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The early episodes were especially engaging.

Still need to see Kubo.

The Upside Down is literally exactly the Shallows of Maya. Up to and including being able to find gates to it by the local disturbances to magnets that they cause. You go to the Shallow Maya and you're in an equivalent and coterminous location where all the buildings are there but run down looking and covered with creepy vines, but all the people are not there and there are freaky plant monsters. And you can contact it with water based rituals and controlled dreaming.

Yeah. It leans heavily on the social commentary, but is funny enough.

Slightly NSFW webcomic which re-imagines Dragonball Z as a gritty street fighter/gangland story, with emphasis on the romance between Vegeta and Bulma.

Just saw Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Found it throughly enjoyable, as good as the book. Director Tim Burton surprisingly didn't fuck it up. He gets hit in the face with a skeleton.

Ooohhh, pretty good one, thanks!

Kinda disappointed Yamcha doesn't show up as the clingy ex-boyfriend though.

I just discovered something. You know those xfinity voice remotes? If you say "fuck you" into the remote, it bring up the xfinity troubleshooting screen. Amazing what you can find by randomly swearing at objects.

The Election 2016 thread got me bummed so I had to seek out a little levity. While this isn't, in my opinion, the best ERB, it's solid and eminently timely.
