Apparently Animal Planet has live streams of various animals. Lots of cute animals (cats, bunnies, puppies), several bird streams, sharks and fish, even ants and roaches. Though, apparently they used to, but no longer, have tarantulas (sorry, Count).

Eugh. If there is anyone one insect that I hate the most, it's cockroaches.

I ran across a dying on at the Downtown Crossing station the other day, and I couldn't stop convulsing with revulsion and fear for several hours.

Tarantulas are boring most of the time. They either dig a burrow and you don't see them, or they stand motionless for days. Once or twice a month, you can watch them kill things. It's not dissimilar to owning a house plant.

His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

I've been bingewatching Transformers Prime on Netflix, and while the show in general is pretty awesome, I am particularly rocked by the fact that the TransPrime version of Starscream is basically The Monarch from Venture Brothers as a Cybertronian.

ImageImage
The only thing missing is the long nose, and that's because Cybertronians don't have noses

Then there's the obnoxiously giant wings sticking out of their backs-
ImageImage
The one area where Starscream is not incompetent is not smacking things with his wings

The heels-
ImageImage
These have actually been called out by other bots on the show

and, well, this...

I don't usually ever read fanfics, but when I do, I read Ganondorf's Evil Dick.

Justice League Gods and Monsters is surprisingly good. And surprisingly brutal. It has a level of violence that they never could have gotten away with on TV. It also has more robot nipples than they could have gotten away with on TV.

Most comics and television series kind of ignore the fact that a normal person being hit by Superman would likely explode into a shower of blood, gore, and bone fragments. Gods and Monsters doesn't. UIt's still tasteful though. Like, when people's heads explode you only see it for a second. And people utterly crushed into a fine liquid really don't look much like people, so it can hardly be called gore.

Been loving that series. Every time I listen, I feel like making Lovecraft-country settings.
I need to catch up on the last few episodes. I love Night Vale. It's like Garrison Keillor narrating the Twilight Zone.
