...And got kicked out of that game.
I was too 'evil' for doubting that the various kings would perhaps take the good of themselves and their people over the good of the world itself.
Also, the mage (at level 9) was using plain magic missile. I know they were trying to be an evocation specialist, but... The web+fireball combo was better.
Anyhow, ohwell.
The DM is usually really good, but has been taking advice from said mage.
