pulling video off youtube and ripping audio off a video

Ok, two questions.

First, is there anyway to pull a video off of youtube (without spending a fortune on software that is of questionable legality)?

second, how can I rip an mp3 from a video file?
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.
