Would that upgrade change the "Page 1 of 49" issue?
Could we really have the option of seeing a thread as a continuous single flow?

Yep, that mod is for our version of phpbb. I'm downloading it now to see what's involved.

The issue that there's way too many pages. It would be nice to simply scroll down a big list of text, with a user-defined post limit per page, than to open (and save) every page.

EzBoard has it.

Interestingly, many of the mod tools (such as thread splitting) load the entire thread on one screen. And it sucks balls, because the page regularly times out while trying to load that much data from the database.

<nod> Pulling entire umpteen-page threads is not adviseable. The HTML alone could top several megs for threads over 20 pages. I have seen a mod that allows setting the page size to a user defined number, but can't remember where I saw it.

Code: Select all

int getRandomInt() {
    return 4; // obtained using roll of fair die
              // guaranteed to be random
}
