Short Film Contest

Post by fbmf »

My friend's short film (with me in a starring role) has been entered into a contest on Kevin Smith's website here.

Simply going and viewing the film (it runs about two minutes) will increase the number of hits it gets and help spread the word about its greatness. If you feel the need to register, and post a review to the message board thread about the film here so much the better, but I should warn you that it will set you back a one-time-fee of $2.00.

Of course, your $2.00 also includes the right to vote on which film deserves to win the monthly contest if you come to the forum on election day, which is in the next 5-10 days. I will post to this thread as soon as I know.

Thank you.

Is thata commentary on my endorsing my own film or on the film itself?

On the film itself, hon. It sent me into stitches. Here you are expecting the guy to bust out with "You slept with my girlfriend!?" and instead it's... not. Which is the point. But still hilarious.

BTW - in that film you're vaguely reminicent of Chris Noth. I half expect to see you in Law & Order sometime.

I get told I look like "Mr. Big" from S&tC a lot also. I think Chris Noth plays that role as well, but I don't get HBO.

I so completely don't get HBO that I have no idea what S&tC even is.

But I will say that you could probably pass for smiling Chris Noth:

But not sad and embittered Chris Noth:

... which when you think about it, is fairly surprising.

Yeah, Chris Noth does also play "Mr. Big" from Sex and the City. He doesn't smile much in either show.

Funny, but of the two pictures you posted, I think I look the most like the lower one.

S&tC=Sex and the City.

I tried to watch Sex and the city.

I spent the entire time, thinking about how much I wanted to slap every one of those women, and which one I would slap first.

the fact that I coudln't slap them all simultaneously made me feel a bit cross.
