Cliched, pithy yet strangely cool quibs you can't help sayin

Post by Lago_AM3P »

The title says it all. I'll start. If I can remember where the quote came from, I'll post it.

"To be defeated means to lose everything. Are you prepared for that?" -- Hawke from Advance Wars 2, before his Super CO power.

"I thought that you were different. But you're just like all the others. A dissapointment." -- Alucard from Hellsing.

"You're dog food, now." -- Alucard, same.

"'I hate magic-users,' one of the remaining goblins spat.
'That makes us even.' Brandon said. "I hate murderers, no matter what their species."' -- d20 Modern Handbook, Urban Arcana Chapter

"I'm erasing you." -- Indalecio, Star Ocean 2

"I have come here to do two things: chew bubblegum and kick ass - and I'm all out of bubblegum" - What'shisface from They Live.
"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

This list would not be complete without mentioning the line that has been used to death in any game I've ever seen or heard of in the fantasy genre in the last two years.

[Drum Roll]

I've seen it used for turning attempts, trigger words for contingency, and blast 'em spells.

You shall not pass!

From Eddie Izzard:

"Do you have a flag?"
My son makes me laugh. Maybe he'll make you laugh, too.

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

And of course, damn near anything from Search for the Holy Grail has been used at every gaming table I've ever sat at for any length of time.

"If I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you!" - Something that I am fond of saying. One time I said it really loud, to my wife, in the middle fo a crowded supermarket. She yelled at me for that, she said we were getting strange looks. I really didn't notice any.

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. That movie is a great source of quotes.

"Goddammit, I knew we should have opened the other door!"

The fighter in my game, except I doubt this is the first time this phrase was uttered by gamers, so I'll put it here.

'Dance puppets, DANCE!!!' [Including puppet master movements of the arms] ~ I have no clue

'Kill them... ALL of them.' ~ Count Dooku, SW2 iirc

'Now that's what I call a sticky situation!' ~ The South Park flashback episode, though it's usually applied as sexual innuendo
