Anyway, I too used to love to play monks. Until, you know, I found out they suck.

Now I play "Goddamn Batmen." There was a period in there when I didn't play, and then I wound up playing the Heal-Bitch... but I have seen the light. And it is at the other end of a gate spell. It almost looks like... free wishes.

I'm still seeking better ways to play "Dark Schneider" type characters.

The Fire Mage is close, much much better than Warlock, but it seems only a spells-per-encounter Sorcerer would work closest. And my DM won't allow that.
