Thanks, Maj. :loveya:

Obviously, I prefer the Admin method better. ;) Just in case you needed clarification on my opinion.

Rather that start a new thread, I'm hijacking this one...

How the [censored] [censored] do you change your avatar? My "edit settings" option gives me a URL line, but I uploaded my current avatar off my computer and I can't figure out how to swap it out for a different one. Help?

Your current avatar is being hosted by image shack, which indicates to me that it was uploaded to that site before you changed your avatar.

The the best of my knowledge, you have to have a url for your avatar - you can't directly upload it. If you want me to host, I'll be more than happy to.

Alright, I want to know why Crissa gets to have a big obnoxious 120+k avatar image while I'm limited to only 6k. Because that's BULLSHIT.

While I'm at it, a 6k limit for avatars is a ridiculous limit, but I wasn't going to say anything because I thought everyone was limited as such. I would like to know why it's apparently just me.

Probably because she didn't upload hers onto the board from her computer. If you link to an offsite avatar, there's no limit to how big it can be.

Huh, alright, it seems I was mistaken then.

I retract the previous bullshit comments, it seems that I just didn't know what the fuck I was talking about. :P

No limit at all?

edit: wow, you seriously can use giant offsite images. That might be something to change.

The image tag should specify the size limit for the image.

Right, otherwise I could do this.

(edit: had my avatar set to http://arstechnica.com/reviews/4q00/mac ... p-huge.jpg but it was unbearable).

Also note: The 'replay' and 'net thread' buttons don't have alternate text. They should.

Just a suggestion, Crissa, but if possible, you might want to size your avi down, because the animated part looks kinda rough around the edges so it takes away from overall quality of the model.
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

It was just something I threw together in flash, which doesn't like to play nice with alpha-channel bitmaps.
