Incantatrix PrC 3.5E

Post by Lago_AM3P »

While the save DCs universally went down and there's no super-empowering of your stats, this PrC still seems even better than it did in 3.0E. For one, if you're willing to sacrifice moment of prescience and other skill-point enhancing magic, your cleric can not only cast persistent righteous might and divine power again, but can even apply feats like that to spells that wouldn't have been able to get it pre-epic... for example, the DC to make a cleric with the animal domain's shapechange persistent is a mere 57 (which isn't that hard, really--take 23 ranks in spellcraft, add a +10 intelligence modifier, cast moment of prescience, and then take ten).

That's awesome. I'm thinking of getting a high-level incantatrix with the arcane disciple feat (hero domain, of course) and having happy days are here again.

Any other thoughts?

As I pointed out in a certain Nifty thread, you have to first find a god who offers the Hero domain, since there are no Arcane Disciples of philosophies.

Sean K. Reynolds, back when we used to care about what he wrote, wrote an updated list of domains for various deities that didn't make it into Deities and Demigods.

Some gods got the Hero domain slapped onto them. So there you go.
