By the by. Combos. Principle of Motion. Excellencies and Infinite (Ability) Mastery. What are your opinion on those?

The reason why I wanted to have an Essence 4 Solar starting out was mainly to use Infinite (Ability) Mastery to its fullest. Am I wrong?

And don't get me wrong on the whole binding thing--I wanted extra mote action, willpower, and principle of motion. Though I'm not exactly sure how good Principle of Motion is. It sounds badass to the maximum, but, then again, the willpower thing.

Actually, why did they make it so freaking hard for Solars and Abyssials to learn SMA?

The only surefire way I know is to advance along the Quicksilver Hands of Dreams, but, eh.
