It says 'like polymorph', but frankly polymorph any object has so many contradictions with the original polymorph that I'm going to straight up and ask.

Even if there's some weird HD clause, turning into a planetar at character level 15 and pocketing a phat +19 natural armor bonus is pure awesome.

The "exception" is that you can turn into any object or creature within the extremely generous size limits.

So yes. Yes you can.

At that point you get the physical stats, the intelligence (if higher), the natty armor, the extraordinary special attacks, the natural weapons, and an argument as to what the hell happens to your hit points and attack routine.
