The door opens on well-oiled hinges and you are in a pitch-black passageway.
Grope your way down the passageway?
Go back?

I half vote to go back, as groping around in darkness is asking to get killed.

I'd prefer to try the passageway.
Re: [Let's Play] Sorcery Warrior 1 - The Shamutanti Hills
Continuing wins 1 to 0.5.
As you tread carefully along the passage, dust falls from the low ceiling. Precarious wooden beams hold the walls back and you stumble and curse as your foot strikes one of the beams. Suddenly a pile of rubble falls from the ceiling in front of you and a cracking of wood stops you cold. The roof is collapsing!
Turn and run back to the door?
Run forward to avoid the collapse?

Re: [Let's Play] Sorcery Warrior 1 - The Shamutanti Hills
Skipping past an "are you sure?" check...
The crashing shaft behind you makes you run faster into the black passage. Suddenly you gasp as your foot fails to touch the ground below and you fall downwards into a pit.
The fall is not too far, but there is a chance of injury. Roll two dice and compare to your Luck. Less than your Luck means no injury; exactly equal to your Luck means 1 damage; greater than your Luck means 3 damage; a roll of 12 means landing on your head for instant death. The roll is 4, no damage.
You pick yourself up off the floor and look around. A shaft of light penetrates the pit and you are relieved to see a passage leading to the daylight outside. Your hand is resting on a furry object which at first you thought was some kind of creature, but now you are able to see that it is a dusty boot. Not far from it is another, and you collect the pair and dust them clean. You put the Borrinskin boots in your backpack. Following the passage, you emerge from the mine into the woods by a pathway that runs downhill.
Continuing for a couple of hours--it is now late afternoon--you are relieved to see a small village ahead of you, set into the hillside.
You walk into the village. Young Hill Dwellers pass you and stare at your strange clothes. Their own attire is rough by comparison and everybody wears their hair long, but piled up on their heads. You pass without incident into the centre of the village.
Look for an inn for the night?
Look for an alehouse to relax?

The village inn will charge you 3 gold pieces for a night's rest and 2 gold pieces for nourishing food. You may not eat your own food at the inn.
Buy a bowl of Skunkbear stew for 2 gold (restore 3 Stamina)?
Buy a room for the night (restore 5 Stamina for a good night's rest)?
Buy both?
Buy neither?

I vote to buy a bowl of Skunkbear stew to fulfill Jason Beckett Morderd's daily nutrition requirements.

Re: [Let's Play] Sorcery Warrior 1 - The Shamutanti Hills
You buy a bowl of stew, eat, and leave.
You creep off to the edge of the village and settle down under a tree. You could eat Provisions here if you chose to (but presumably will not as it would not benefit you in any way). You try to sleep under the tree but you are woken continuously by strange noises. Restore 1 Stamina for getting some rest and leave at daybreak.
You did eat the previous day and don't take 3 hunger damage.
Leave Kristatanti along a path which snakes out into the hills?
Leave Kristatanti along a path which goes along a wall briefly?

Re: [Let's Play] Sorcery Warrior 1 - The Shamutanti Hills
You leave Kristatanti along a path which snakes out into the hills. All morning you follow it as it twists through the woods of gnarled trees until eventually you reach a clearing where another path joins from the east. A signpost at the junction indicates straight on to Dhumpus and westwards to Alianna.

Some way down the path you come across a hut in a rather picturesque setting, among trees with leaves of contrasting shades of green. Flowers decorate the walls of the hut and the door is painted in ornate designs. You approach the door and knock but there is no reply.
Open the door of the hut and enter?
Walk past the hut?
