I vote for Sar Jessica Dayne to take the Maul and Hide Armour, Tasha to take the Shield and Iron Shortsword, and everybody who can carry a Crude Blade to do so. I also vote to head through the safer and drier archway, as the watery arch is probably host to sea creatures such as eels and krakens.

Give Jessica the iron shortsword and shield, and the armor. Give Tasha the maul. Give the other two crude blades.

Go through the dry exit.

Since the assigning of weapons and armour makes little difference in group combat mechanically, I'll be going by flavour instead, so I vote for Jessica to get the maul because I think a 2-handed weapon suits her more than it suits Tasha. So Tasha gets the iron shortsword and shield (Jessica can't use the shield with her weapon, and even though it's not a mechanism in this book, flavor-wise spellcasters don't go well with shields in most fantasy, so Tasha gets priority).

As for Hide armour, if we're assigning damage ourselves in group combats, maybe it's better if we stack armour on 1 person instead of spreading them?

Are there rules against characters using more than 1 Armour items? I think that was the case in Fabled Lands (only the item with the highest bonus counts), but I'm not sure if that's the case here. If Tasha can benefit from both the Hide Armour and the Shield simultaneously, I vote to give her both. If not, give the Hide Armour to Jessica.

Crude blades for everyone else.

And I vote to explore the water arch.

I'm also all about the water arch. Sgamerz equipment assignments seem fine.

A character can only benefit from one 'armour' or 'robe' item at a time, and only one 'shield' item at a time, but their Armor bonuses do stack, and so do other sources of Armour bonus, such as magic rings or whatever. The distinction between 'armour' (the item) and 'Armour' (the statistic) could be clearer and the stat probably should have been called Protection or something.

You emerge into a large chamber, filled with cobwebs which incinerate at the touch of your torches. The floor of this chamber has half collapsed, and in a small crevice you can make out the eggs of giant spiders, heaped upon one another. The adult spiders lurk in the ceiling corners of the chamber, waiting patiently for a chance to strike. You could make your way carefully through the crevice, since sloped rubble is piled up on either side of the drop – but you would have to carefully navigate past the eggs. You also spy a narrow ledge around the crevice which might allow you to avoid the crevice completely, provided you could all make it across without falling. Or perhaps it would be wiser to attack the spiders whilst you are on firm ground, and get a battle out of the way?
Creep through the crevice (turn to 80)?
Sneak along the ledge (turn to 895)?
Provoke the spiders into battle (turn to 133)?

No option to have Amelia talk to the spiders, bah. Creep through the crevice.

Ugh, another potential Stealth test which most of the team would suck at. I wonder if it might be better to take the initiative and attack the spiders since if we fail a test they may attack us anyway.

Still, try creeping this time.

Holding your torches high you begin to make your way into the crevice, carefully watching your feet in the dancing firelight as they crunch near the eggs. A giant spider above you crawls along the ceiling, as if tracking your progress through her nursery.
“Step where we step,” you advise the Everchild’s followers as you move carefully forwards.
Navigate the spider’s nest (Team check)
     Skill and DC: Survival (4+)
     Successes Required: 5

If you succeed, turn to 461. If you fail, turn to 260.
As a team check, we add the relevant skill of two of our characters, in this case Tasha and Amelia for a total of (3+3) 6d v 4+: 2,3,4,6,1,6 = 3. Not enough. We could force success by draining Amelia's Wolf Spirit spell. Do you think this is worth it?

I vote to cast Wolf Spirit, as that is one of the reasons why the spell is there.

The spell is cast, the test is passed.

The spiders seem unsure about attacking such large, fire-wielding prey, especially those that are respecting the integrity of their nests. Heart in your mouth, you move around the egg clusters carefully, not breaking a single one, before clambering out of the crevice along a rubble-scattered ramp. Another chamber beckons on the other side. Turn to 347.
347

You emerge into a tunnel that soon splits in two. One route leads down slightly, the other slopes up. Ancient writing crosses the walls, and the Everchild calls for more light as she examines it. “The downward slope led to an old armoury,” she comments. “Upwards was a changing room. There is no indication which route leads out, however.”
Head down towards the armoury (turn to 242)?
Head upwards towards the changing room (turn to 883)?

Armoury is likely to contain useful equipment, even if it doesn't lead to the exit.

Upwards towards the changing room, both because that sounds a lot more likely to be a place people went into immediately on arrival/immediately before departure, and because if there's anything relevant to each room's function still in them it sounds more likely to be interesting and less likely to be just "you find some more generic equipment."

After a short journey the tunnel leads to an old door, long since smashed to pieces. Beyond lie empty racks and armour stands, the chamber having been looted long ago, and a tunnel continues into the darkness beyond. Only one weapon remains, clutched in the hand of a dusty skeleton. The sword is carved of dark blue metal, with spidery runes engraved across its blade.
“I sense some enchantments, but also a strong curse,” notes the Everchild. “I would advise you to leave the blade and continue.”
Pick up the blade (choose a character to do this and turn to 131)?
Leave the sword where it is and continue onwards (turn to 647)?

Voices echo down the tunnel as you emerge onto the balcony of a large chamber. You wave the Everchild and her supporters down as you creep forwards to take a look. Peering over the balcony railing you see a dozen rough looking characters, armed with daggers, clubs and other simple weapons. Around them are various chests and crates, with the names of several different company brands upon them. It is clear that you have stumbled upon a thieves’ hideout, their swarthy faces lit by the large central fire in the chamber.
Call out and approach them peacefully (turn to 187)?
Launch a surprise attack on the rogues (turn to 889)?
