Not enough swearing to be Frank, clearly.

Zane Wylie over at http://realhumanskull.com - where he carves and sells real human skulls, as well as human bone rings, walking canes, etc. - is working on this decorative (and decadent!) wallhanger, with a handle carved from a human femur. Definitely a sword-like-object, but a spiffy-looking one - he hasn't posted pictures of the blade itself yet, but that's obviously being outsourced. The original (and possibly others - he's thinking of doing three more) are going to be sold on his site for about US$3,500 each, but if there's demand he might do more reasonably-priced versions with replica handles. Still not anything I'd want to actually swing, but damn that's pretty in a "hardcore metal cover" sort of way.

For a moment I thought those semi-spherical things were some kind of weird bras.

Why not? It's not like the owners need those skulls now.

I am talking mainly about the sword hilt / handle part thing.
I mean, bones break even in top condition while inside the body.
Dry bones (read outside a body keeping them alive) can and will get pretty brittle over time, so why the hell use them as parts for weapons or stuff like that of all things?

I would assume they are for display purposes and not for use.

Actually tried my hand at a graphic design character sheet.

Not bad for a first fucking try, I think.

It's a bit hard to read, especially the racial abilities field.

Oh, I see ~17 things to do better next time. Still pretty happy.

Intimidation factor. You charge at someone wielding a sword with a human femur hilt, they'll probably shit themselves. It also completely you're skull-helmeted barbarian ensemble.

I got to field-test my halloween costume early this year. After much consideration, I felt the cheapest option would be to buy a fake beard and be a ZZ Top member.

The sunglasses were also cheap. So cheap they were free.

I don't see the ability to search out a forest.

Looks cool though.

Isn't it illegal to own human skulls? I'm reasonably sure it is where I live.

Nah, some US states have restrictions on buying and selling human bones, but that's about it. The artist gets most of his material from damaged medical displays.
