The U.S. isn't a democracy and if you think it is, you are a rube.

That's libertarians for you - anarchists who want police protection from their slaves.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

The "because I'm a winner" line really sells it.

"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

I love how most of our crazy hot dog concoctions are actually tame compared to what other countries do with out tubed meat.

"Hotdog in a baguette" might simultaneously be the most French thing I have ever heard as well as the most unexpectedly French thing I have ever heard.

It's also just so blatantly wrong. "Look. No. You cook the hot dog and then put it in the bun, then put cheese on it. You're doing this almost entirely backwards."

It's not exceptionally strange. Being around kids who like sliced-up hotdogs in everything, I got to where I do something similar with the ends and give them a little fry for crunchiness that the kids appreciate.

On the other hand, Italy's sounds delicious and I find Sweden's the strangest. Mashed potatoes, shrimp salad and fried onions? Sounds tasty but what fucking thought process came up with that? Sounds like drunk food to me.

I'd be a pain in the ass to get a hot dog for in a lot of places going by this thing. I'm not a fan of jalepanoes or really any raw/pickled peppers (chipotles and other roast peppers are another thing), don't like sauerkraut, nor am I fond of raw cabbage for that matter, pickles, mushrooms, raw tomatoes, try not to eat too much mayo because it's just pointless calories outside of egg or tuna salad, and am picky about cheese.

On the other hand, some of them, like Korea, France, China, even Norway, strange as it is, sound amazing.
