A large pack of Zombies appears from out of the gloom, running towards you at speed. There are a lot of them, twenty-four in total. There is time to use a grenade if you have one, which will reduce their number by (2d6+1) before firing your weapon at the remainder of the oncoming horde. If you win, turn to 382.
No Name Nova does not have any more grenades to use, so our hero will use the machine gun against the oncoming horde.

Ow. As predicted, our hero is killed against the pack of 24 Zombies. A resurrection will be used to take our hero back to the point after the two small Med Kits were taken, as our hero should have instead given in to fascism to open the other door. The gas cylinder was not necessary to take, so our hero will leave it this time to avoid making the inventory list as long as it already is.

As you approach the door you hear music, laughter and voices chatting in a language you don’t understand. It sounds like the noises could be coming from a television or a radio. If you still wish to open the door, turn to 290. If you would rather go back and open the door at the other end of the corridor, turn to 30.
Since it was already given that going to the door at the other end of the corridor was a bad move, we will have our hero open the door.

The door is unlocked and opens into a living room that has been totally trashed. A light grey sofa lies upside down, its linen cover and cushions ripped open, spilling foam stuffing all over the floor. Two armchairs are in a similar state and the white plastic coffee table has been jumped on and flattened. All the pictures have been ripped off the walls, their frames smashed to pieces on the floor amidst bits of broken glass and pottery. A red plastic radio has been stuffed in a plant pot. It is still working, blaring out some drama at full volume. A television on its side against the far wall has an umbrella sticking out of its shattered screen. Next to it is a huge rectangular fish tank on a wrought iron stand that has had a hole punched through the front glass panel from which water is still pouring out. A Zombie is picking up the fish that are jumping about on the floor and cramming them into its gaping mouth. You are just about to attack the Zombie when a second that was hiding behind the door leaps on your back and tries to bite your neck. Roll one die. If the number rolled is 1-3, turn to 191. If the number rolled is 4-6, turn to 363.
Rolling the die yields a 4.

You feel a slavering mouth on your neck but before the Zombie has time to close its jaws and bite you with its broken teeth you grab its arm, bend forward, and flip it over your shoulder. It lands with a thump on its back on the broken coffee table and roars in pain. It stands up slowly and both Zombies close in to attack. If you win the fight, turn to 83.
Not that it matters much, but I will have No Name Nova use the machine gun in this fight.

You search the room but find nothing more than a $10 bill stuffed down the back of the sofa. There are no other doors leading out of the room so you walk back down to the other end of the corridor to open the door there (turn to 30).
I will assume that the $10 bill is taken here.
Section 30 has our hero climb up a narrow stone staircase and to paragraph 322. Once there, No Name Nova arrives at the top of the clock tower and encounters a burly Zombie holding three sticks of dynamite below the trapdoor that our hero came from.
With out hero armed with a gun, please vote on the following before 9:00 AM PST or a choice receives 2 votes to guarantee that they will be counted:
- Whether to shoot the Zombie, slam the trapdoor shut, or smash the glass face of one of the clocks and attempt to climb outside and down the clock tower,
- Whether to make a different choice out of the decisions that No Name Nova made in our hero’s previous life,
- Whether to use any Med Kits before proceeding any further, as our hero had 3 Med Kits and 2 Small Med kits at the point where the resurrection sent our hero back to.
