Like, that is exactly how I imagined her sounding.
The Extra Credits crew has an excellent analysis of the reasons why Samus was such a wretched, loathsome character in Other M.

I had to start a new game on Elder scrolls: Oblivion. Originally, I made a character who had specialized in security, sneak, mercantile, speechcraft, and alteration and illusion.

I focused on the thieves guild missions and did random non-fighting missions. So, while most of the above skills were crazy awesome, I just can't cut it in *any* fight. I found out that if I was fighting 3 wolves at a time, I would die.

I don't feel like grinding away to increase my combat skills. Especially because I'm a level 10 character...

Have you ever, played Oblivion?

Did you read anything at all about how the skills and level system works?

Okay, so, it totally doesn't matter what your major skills are, that only effects level up.

If you want to be a Bow using Bower, who bows, and also wears Heavy Armor, and when engaging in melee uses a sword and shield...

Your Major skills should be:
Alchemy/Conjuration/Alteration/Light Armor/Mysticism/Blunt/Hand to Hand.

Unless you want to use potions and poisons, in which case replace Alchemy with something.

Then play the whole game at level 1 while skilling up to 100 in bows/swords/blocking/heavy armor.

Alternatively, install a leveling mod, preferably Realistic Leveling, but anything that causes you to not have to plan your skill increases.

Also, be sure to grab a mod that prevents the enemies from leveling up with you, since that rather defeats the purpose of leveling.

Install nGCD and your other skills will level just fine. But more importantly, install something like the awesome Midas Magic and pick up some combat-useful spells from there.

I will admit that i haven't looked very deeply into the leveling aspect.

I can't install mods because I'm playing on the 360.

But, I can try it out.

Then your only choices are to either:

1) Give yourself 7 Major skills you will never use, and never level.

2) Give yourself 7 Major skills you can level when you want, one at a time, but never use otherwise. Then specifically plan your level ups so that you get the maximum attribute gain every time.

Also, make sure you increase Endurance by 5 every level until max.

Arkham Asylum just won points from me for having the Joker make a huge Lost reference. Bonus points for "Why did it end in a church?"

Anyways, I just beat the game. Wrapping up some sidequests, including the fucking Riddler.

Yep, could be anything!
Banshee, Archer, Cyclops, Atlas. Who knows right?!

Mechwarrior 4 changed the looks of some of the standard Mechs, but it worked. That looks like a really slick Atlas, I wonder if other perpetual favourites like the Warhammer and the Marauder will get a new once-over. I'm a little worried that it's been a few years since it's been released and no actual screen shots, the trailer was pre-rendered so the final game could look like anything.

The TRAILER was done IN ENGINE.
In the Unreal Engine 3. Yes, it DOES look like that.
You can compare it to other Games on that Engine.
But yes, of course, true screenshots would be preferred <.<
This Atlas is done by the Artist known as FLYINGDEBRIS.
As for Warhammer and Marauder:
Harmony Gold raised a big Stink again and so this game, again, probably won't feature the unseen Versions . . And the ReSeen and ProjectPhoenix Versions were fugly as Hell in my eyes x.x

Nah, there was a tweet stating that the legal stink is a myth, Harmony Gold hasn't said anything.

I've been playing Rusty Hearts recently. It's been fun. Plus, free.

I'm not SURE why you feel the NEED for all the random capitalizations. Even if they use the Unreal 3 engine if the art direction sucks the game will look like shit. You will also notice that the Atlas's official 3025 art, it's metal mini, its appearance in the trailer and the teaser art all look different. So what we know now may not represent what we get in the long run.

Also Harmony Gold doesn't own everything about the Marauder and the Warhammer, they just own the license to the rights to the art in North America. If the art team is reworking the classic mechs, they could remake the Project Phoenix Marauder and Warhammer to not look like ass. For instance the Marauder IIC (new version) looks really good, if they built off that they could have a more than passable Marauder in game.

I looked at that a while back. It seemed too pay to win for me. Of course I'm playing World of Tanks which has some of the same problem.

Painkiller is a shittonne of fun. Whenever you kill something, fun oozes out of the body of your foe. My only criticism is that its soundtrack is boring, which can easily be solved by alttab+itunes.

Painkiller was pretty awesome. My only complaint is that a couple of the boss fights (which you *have* to finish in order to continue on to later levels) are really retarded.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but it seems perfect for here. Now, instead of ignoring people, you can blast their posts off your screen!

I'm on Arson in LA Noire.

I'm surprisingly impressed with the game now. The last few cases dragged, but there comes a point when the game throws a curveball and you're not playing as Cole Phelps and THESE cases are surprisingly interesting. And gives you a huge reason to care about doing them, as you realize the depth of what you're dealing with.

So, for those who don't have the game, here's the rundown:

You're an ex-World War 2 Marine turned LA cop. You start off a patrolman, get up to detective. First you work Traffic, then Homicide, then Vice, then Arson.

Traffic's not bad, the Homicide cases all involve a serial killer and they're a lot of fun, Vice cases are a drag despite occasional, and the Arson cases shape up to be rather good.

So, I give you this verdict: Don't buy it new. It's worth about twenty bucks, in the end.

In DQ9, I got a grotto map that has two rank s chests in it. That's pretty cool, it's the first time I've gotten any of the epic tier weapons. They're both tier one (hammer and fan), but I can probably farm them for the rest of the set!
