"Imagine explaining (thing) to someone from (historical time period)" is a perplexing enough thought experiment, but when I barely understand what the fuck is going on there and I'm from this time period I can only fucking imagine trying to explain this shit to someone in 1942 (I mean, actually in 1942, I'm aware there are still some people alive from that era)
