Meltzer says that everyone he's talked to seems to think they're sticking with the two world titles idea too.

Awesome, that's one each - one for Cena, the other for Reigns :D

On a more serious note, I'm not sure it's a good idea. Everyone has already basically said "the roster is too thin" (especially between the injuries and all the people let go because WWE can't figure out how to utilise them - like Damien fucking Sandow, who creates magic) and King Ross pointed out "Fucking hell, five hour Smackdown shows", so not much more can be added to why it's a terrible idea. And the risk of splitting the New Day or Enzo and Cas (see: the main reasons to watch).

If the wrestlers we like end up on one show and the wrestlers we really dislike end up on the other, that's a dream come true, but they'd be daft to do that: they'd be spending a lot of time, effort and money on producing two shows when only one would get much attention*.

About the only thing which I'd like to see from a brand split would be them taking the "Women are Proper Wrestlers Too" thing really seriously, and flat-out split into separate shows for the Men's and Women's League. Yes they'd have to bring more female talent in, but I'm okay with that. Yes, Ric Flair would have to leave, and I'm super okay with that.

*From the Internet Community anyway. I don't know what percentage of their viewers are average marks and what those people like.

Ric Flair.

I'm only being a tiny bit facetious when I say that. The average Raw viewer is apparently over 40 with the single largest demo category being people over 50(!). WWE likes to claim that they are giving us Roman Reigns and John Cena in order to bring smiles to the faces of tiny children but the bottom line is they actually drew more kids--both in terms of percentage and absolute value--back in the Attitude Era. Dick jokes draw, brother.

So, recent WWE news:

1. We have a new world champion, Seth Rollins!

2. We have a new world champion, Dean Ambrose! That was quick.

Let the era of Champ Ambrose be long and good - keep him face, replace "Lol crazy Dean with mustard and golf carts!" with "Dean is champ and he's kind of crazy, he'll fight anyone", it could be a good thing.

3. The Roman Empire has fallen thanks to decadence. Or specifically, Reigns has a 30 day suspension due to violating the Wellness Policy. He didn't do Bad Drugs, he didn't do Good Drugs. He just did THE Drugs.

(In before he makes it back in time for the triple threat and wins it despite a month of not being on screen, showing that drug offences really aren't as severe as touching Vince on the shoulder.)

Has there been more monologing and arguments and shorter fights in WWE since the 80's ended?

I was watching an old Ultimate Warrior vs Macho Man (Macho King) match and they didn't talk that much, or at all really, until they started wailing on each other in the ring.

This inspired me to see what WWE was like and it was.... really long back and forth dialog on microphones.

Everyone needs to find and watch The Final Deletion.

So I got turned onto What Culture Wrestling by someone WHO KNOWS WHO THEY ARE YES YOU DO IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT and I'm digging WCPW and I guess I'm now a wrestling fan again, after fifteen or sixteen years.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

In the words of Pacciti... you love it.

I'm really hype about WCPW. So far it's been good. Some of the earlier matches were a bit sloppy with the first episode but it didn't take long to become solid. And it's mostly wrestling, with short promos to quickly get us on-side and establish some character, all fit into an hour.

Even better, they're going to have a women's division, and I am confident they won't fuck it up the way WWE did. Or the way TNA did.

But TNA was the perfect shorthand for a womens wrestling thing.

Also, about what culture:

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

If you want me to give a shit about Smackdown maybe you shouldn't have them select Miz and Corbin as Jericho, KO and Rusev go to Raw.

Geez, Zack Ryder had a very rough night in that battle royale. Two missed spots, painfully obvious.

Despite my previous post throwing shade on the midcard I've switched to only watching Smackdown and it's pretty sweet. I mean, I miss Rusev and pretty much all the Canadian dudes but pretty much everyone else can go fuck theyself. Plus, it's cute that RAW cherrypicked the two tag teams that are most over on the mic but I think I'd rather watch American Fucking Alpha stomp all those Smackdown jobbers instead.

So what the fuck did happen with the end of Summerslam there?

Did they decide to go for a controversial finish there and actually okay some blading and have a non-match followed by a violent TKO? Did they decide to do that except replace the blading with "some real hits, you guys agree right?"

Did Orton decide to blade (making Vince very angry I imagine), overdo it (which is fucking WHY Vince hates it) and bleed so much that control told the referee to end it early via TKO and whisper to Bork to keep up the act so it looks "all according to keikaku"?

Did Bork just go into his roid-raged confused frenzy and seriously split Randy's head open with an elbow (that looked like a stiff, full-contact elbow and pictures of the cut after... that's not a straight slice like you get from a razor) with the people in control telling the referee to end it early with a TKO and pretend it's all part of the plan?

Didn't look like a blade job to me and Randy apparently got stitched up afterwards. Lord Meltzer says that Randy agreed to get opened up the hard way, a method which is rather predictably unpredictable. Apparently the whole thing was handled on a "need to know" basis because supposedly Jericho was concerned and asking backstage if something gone wrong which led to him having a shouting match with Bork because nobody would give him a straight answer.

Anyway, I'm always inclined to believe that nobody was shooting, especially since Bork didn't seem to be putting as much mustard on the suplexes as usual. I would think if that he really wanted to be a dick he'd just launch the dude and let the chips fall where they may instead of chilling out until the big finishing spot and suddenly deciding to start swinging for real.

The Miz cuts one good promo after years of comfortable mediocrity and everyone's on his nuts.

Eh, I like the Miz just fine when he stays his lane. He's a midcard dingus who can talk and generally doesn't concuss people. That puts him above like 3/4s of the roster by my book.

I think it's good he's there because he's one of the few heels who:
A) doesn't leave me thinking "I'm just sick of him, go away" (X-Pac heat I guess)
and B) I'm not "secretly" cheering for (KO, Rusev, AJ Styles, New Day when they were heels, The Club...)

So basically he's doing his job as a heel.

This is hardly a surprise but some of the dirt sheets seem to think that Paige's departure from WWE has finally gone from likely to inevitable. I am rapidly running out of reasons to give a crap about the women's roster.
