You could also check the statute of limitations for debt collection in your state.
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

I couldn't get in touch with anyone today so I'm calling back Monday.
This is a good choice.

I'm not sure if this is a good legal plan or not as I have nothing to compare it too, but in this case it will cover the money that goes to the actual lawyer that looks at this, I may have to pay any other fees. Still, it's a big help. Waiting for some contact information to be e-mailed to me, then going to see if I can't make an appointment.

I am back from Texas. It was a long drive. I won two awards.

My acceptance speech was brief. When I declined to say anything else for the second award, there was cheering.

TFwiki wrote:Soon is the name of the region in the time-domain (familiar to all marketing departments, and to the moderators and staff of Fun Publications) which sees release of all BotCon news, club exclusives, and other fan desirables. Soon is when then will become now.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Based on the subject matter, I assumed the awards were to be for best loin cloth and best steel riddle answer. Obviously that was not the case.

For some reason, I now have an overwhelming urge to say something counterfactual about Conan. Well done!

Omedetou!

Did you get an honorary gray beard and Hawaiian shirt after the award?

I'm not really one for a beard, but I might go in for a Hawai'ian shirt one of these days.

Whelp. We had a rough storm yesterday so that means no electricity for erik. Going on 28 hours as of this moment. I heard at least 3 generators going down my cul de sac. IPL can suck my nuts. It took them nearly 48 hours to restore power in April but at least it wasn't fuckin 90 degrees that week. I should send my grocery bills to the power company since they keep ruining my food.

The roof AC unit at work also tits up on Monday and won't be replaced for a couple weeks so my only cool respites are on my commute. Good times.

Edit: power came back Friday dunno if it was 36 hours or 48 hours down since I wasn't home. Bonus the ac seems fixed way ahead of schedule at work too. Still it looks like a lot of food didn't survive the coolers full of ice. Fish sticks look hella gross.

A random personal observation: It's amazing how much better everything is when I stopped accepting things and damanding more from everything. I stopped helping people that wouldn't help me back, when my employer would make illegal demands or verbally abuse me I'd laugh in their face and walk off the job, I started dropping people I was dating for any flaw and didn't give most people a first chance (and no one gets a second chance).

Fuck yes! Just got a job offer! I still have to talk it over with my wife before I accept, but the compensation was better than I was expecting.

This is a bit of a new chapter in my life as this is the first time I've ever gone looking for a new job on my own, while still employed. In the past, changes of employment have been pretty much solely driven by college starting up in the fall or the company closing its doors.
