Spring is priority. Everything else will be checked later. This ain't a vidya game. Time is of the ESSENCE.

Is the box already past the pillars?

No, the skeleton is standing on the road about ten feet from the healing spring. (Which Vian still hasn't drunk from yet.)

I'm thinking of blinking and peeking inside the box. You guys ready for a possible fight or something? Not sure if we should take the box inside the pillared area, or just leave it out here so I'm considering dealing with it now, perhaps burying it underground first. If there's something in there, the pillars may or may not keep it out, but I think it's something to consider.

What's the er... radius? of the stone pillars? How far apart are they from each other?

The stone pillars are about ten feet apart.

Is Vian going to drink from the healing spring?

One of your protective team-mates pushed you out of the way to (literally) test the waters. Try to keep up!

Vian is back at full hit points. The newts don't seem to mind him at all.

I'm wondering if we should split the party, i.e. take some to the ethereal and leave some on the material before I open the box.

Which of you can fight ethereal things while still on the material, or vice versa?

I don't remember the ethereal plane rules too well and am AFB. Would we potentially be better off all going? If we go, I'll need 3 full round actions before we can come back.

I just noticed that Plane Shift would transport us 5 to 500 miles away from here so let's check out the Ethereal later on when we're not in the middle of a quest.

Sorry about wasting everyone's time :(

I apologize, but I'm simply not invested enough to play. If someone else wants to fill in the spot that I'm doing, then that's fine. But I'm obviously kind of lost and generally just sort of not performing well.

I peg it down to simply not being very good when it comes to particularly exotic races, such as the Dragonborn.

I'm guessing no one is going to do anything with the box, so I'll just bury the thing, and then explore the ruins.

Sorry to see you drop out, AcidBlades.

And we're not planning to open the box anymore? I've had Archie readying an action in anticipation of opening it for a while now. Now I think I'm starting to get out of it. Oh well, I'm down for burying it if everyone else is.

Let's compromise and open it while it's buried. Hopefully dirt won't damage anything valuable in there.

I'll be honest, but based on posting it's just you two guys. If you want, I can reconfigure the adventure for two players and the rest of the former PCs can be used as disposable trapfinders or something. Otherwise, we might just call the game for lack of interest.
