Gloryhammer just released a new album. It's called "Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards". You want to get it.

Need some music recs for a playlist to listen to when I work on my 50s Mad Max thing.

Currently, I have a playlist with Dr. Steel's Drop the Bomb, Johnny Cash's One Piece at a Time, and some various stuff by the Cramps.

So I'm looking for vaguely 50s-ish stuff, stuff about cars, stuff that's inspired by 50s things (like Drop the Bomb), and punk stuff that isn't too modern (hence the Cramps). I need the playlist to evoke the feeling I'm looking for for the setting, which is a Dieselpunk post apocalypse a la Mad Max, but with a 50s pastiche.
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

I've been on synthwave/dark synth since I discovered the genre, and currently I swear by Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, Dance with the Dead, and Zombie Hyperdrive.

You want psychobilly, altcountry, cowpunk and roots rock.

Yep, any suggestions for specific bands/songs?

Zombie Hyperdrive only has 1 album right? Kinda put him on my JudgeLater list because there are a lot of synthwave artist that did one good album and vanish off the face of the earth (e.g. Kavinsky)

I have a bad habit of listening to synthwave mixtapes on Youtube and then not looking up the artist's other material. Going all the way back to Hotline Miami, where I still should have got at least an album from most every artist that contributed instead of just Carpenter Brut.

Save for VHS Glitch, who managed to get me to buy their whole collection on Bandcamp thanks to being cheap
